I salute Chuck for putting the spotlight to the King's brilliant outing instead of the "GS will lose because of Green's suspension"-narrative
Kings deserve a lot of credit, but to sit here and act like it isn't a major disadvantage to the Warriors is absurd. Warriors have been horrendous on the road all year, its no surprise they lost both games on the road to start the series. Where as at home they're a top 5 team in the league. They are literally 3x better at home. If they lose at home tomorrow, you cannot say Draymond getting suspended wasn't a major factor.
@@cashclay216 And the Kings were the best road team in the West. So It’s still a toss up and not decisive just because the Warriors were a top 5 home team. I personally wanted Draymond to play because this series has been so entertaining for a first round matchup.

Chuck is speaking facts. Everyone looking at just the act but there's so much more to it. One: draymonds history. Two: draymonds response after the fact running around and yelling at the crowd. I would also add in Draymond showing no remorse after, making excuses and even getting his ankle evaluated to mock Sabonis getting his chest evaluated which leads to chucks third point. Sabonis actually got hurt from that. This might be the most costly decision, (not just the step/stomp but all the antics) of draymonds career. If the warriors lose this series it us unlikely they resign him. N he won't be draymond anywhere else. This might be it for draymond.
Good take, too many people look the other way.
His history caught up with him for sure. But to say he’s cancelled. Flat out no.
I certainly hope so! Can't stand this guy!
Kenny had the best analogy here. If you keep getting pulled over for speeding, the penalty will only get worse. Hence the NBA citing his history of unsportsmanlike conduct. Yeah, Sabonis may have instigated depending on which angle you’re watching…but If somebody cut you off and you decide to ram them off the road. You better be ready to face the consequences.
Real talk. Cos Draymond Green don’t think he just act. He had issues with Ingram and Delon Brokes. He always wants to get into it with anyone. His bad attitude will cost him his contract with Warriors next season.

Totally agree with the suspension - if someone grabbed your ankle, you dont stomp down - you pull AWAY!
You don't police how people respond to misconduct.
The initial misconduct is the issue. Lol
Am I really that far off in my belief? What do you think Sabonis was trying to do? And does Dremond now have freedom to wrap guys up by the feet when he wants?
@@CassCream to me, around 0:56, Sabonis is already going in that motion before he lands beside Draymond; I don't see any "misconduct" with it. That seems very cynical. The more or less same question you pose can be directed back to you ~ why would he grab someone's leg? I don't think it's a big chance he knew it was Draymond's.

Exactly shaq ! 💪🏼
The angle from above makes it obvious that it was on purpose. Draymond probably got mad that sabonis landed on his legs so he stomped him
Here's my hot take - Sabonis flops recklessly in traffic nearly causing a season ending injury to Draymond.
From the baseline angle 2:22, as Klay is boxing out Sabonis, initially it looked like Klay hooked Sabonis and yanked him down. If you put the playback speed at .25, you can see Sabonis actually just tries to sell it and flops which leads him to fall towards Draymond. Sabonis hits his head on Draymond's knee as he falls down, naturally causing him to try to grab his own head with both arms but Draymond's right leg was there. I don't think Sabonis intentionally grabbed Draymond's leg.
From Draymond's perspective, Sabonis falling into his leg could potentially be a season ending injury. We've seen plenty of knee injuries from players falling into other players legs around the rim. From the angle above the backboard 2:30 with the playback speed at .25, you can see Draymond has his eye on the ball then notices Sabonis falling towards him and initially tries to avoid the collision. As Klay tries to run back, Klay's legs get tangled with Sabonis, so from Draymond's perspective, Draymond sees Sabonis' legs coming then his hip rolling over, so potentially thinking Sabonis will continue to roll under him. The natural thing to do at this point is to jump to avoid a big man rolling into your legs.
Now if you really pay attention to Draymond's body movement, at 2:24, as Draymond tries to jump, you can see his left foot is also under Sabonis' left thigh. If you tried to jump with both feet held, your upper body would lean forward and Draymond's left hand and right foot came down at the same time, like someone trying to break a fall. Sure there is impact from Draymond's weight on his right foot and it did look like a stomp but it doesn't really press down into Sabonis.
Remember, this is all happening quick. Draymond is still in avoid injury mindset, and immediately after landing on Sabonis, he does a quick 2nd jump to get out of that situation. On that 2nd jump, you notice that Sabonis' upper stomach/ribs presses down much more than the first "stomp" and I believe that is where most of the damage to Sabonis' ribs came from.
Nobody risked to grab Shaq’s leg😂
If you grabbed his leg you were gonna go with it haha
That's assault😂😂
If Draymond were to play next game and Sabonis doesn’t you’re basically giving players a reason to go bountygate mode
And if Dray gets suspended and Sabonis plays you give people the reason to try to draw players out 🤷🏾♂️

Should've saved that energy for the Suns. The Footprint Center is in Phoenix, not Sac Town.
That top-down view looks like he puts his full body weight onto Sabonis
Yes he did. Don't grab a guy's leg. In a sport where you run and jump, grabbing someone by the legs or tripping is way out of bounds. You have to look at it as whether it was a basketball player or not. And wrapping someone up by the ankles is a football play
Just like shaq said: if you dont grab his leg, that play doesnt happen..
The lesson: never go all "the brothers johnson" style "STOMP" & hype up the opposing crowd with the commissioner in attendance.
Just as lightly grabbing someone's arm doesn't warrant them punching you in the face, lightly grabbing someone's leg doesn't warrant them stomping on your chest...disgusting behavior, and him goading and taunting the crowd while their star-player was writhing in pain on the floor was icing on the cake.

Draymond gonna be join the tnt crew earlier this post season
I love Shaq but I think he needs to watch the incident again more closely. Green had both feet on the floor when Sabonis grabbed his foot/ankle. Green then lifted his right foot, thereby removing his foot from Sabonis' grip. At this point he easily could have put that foot back on the floor and run down court. But, he instead chose to stomp on Sabonis' chest, then jump over Sabonis' legs/feet and run down court. Green's explanation of his version of the incident during the subsequent press conference is total BS. Also, before Sabonis even landed on the floor, it looked like Green gave him an elbow in the chest, knocking Sabonis down.
Thank you Shaq.
I remember seeing a girl slap another chick and in response the other girl punched tf out of her... people were saying "why didnt she just slap her back" but i knew YOU CANT CONTROL SOMEONES REACTION. Exactly!! All these idiots are so soft, they get all mad because of the "stomp". Did no one notice that Sabonis threw himself on the floor to try and draw a foul? Why is it that no one condemns little fuckers like him when they can easily injure players that way too!
Unfortunately Draymond has grown a reputation of doing these sorts of things, so he's never gonna get the benefit of the doubt regardless of whether he has reason to do what he did or not.

Draymond is such a dirty player. From punching Poole in the face to stomping on Sabonis. Wish he could learn to control his ego and emotions. Already cost the Warriors a championship and now potentially a playoff series.
Intentionally grabbing a player to trip them from behind while they run has got to be one of the dirtiest plays I've ever seen in basketball history. Why is Sabonis not suspended again? If someone trips you from behind intentionally and you fall and break something, should you also be punished?
I think its also the fact that Sabonis being questionable to play more than the histrionics from D Green. Its similar to the hockey suspension if a player gets injured bc of a dirty play then said dirty player gets suspended
