    Thanks! Very informative and articulate regarding the differences between the 750 vs 1,000. The mods on your bikes are quite tasteful, I can see you take pride in your rides. Kudos for starting to ride later in life, on a 750 no less! I am looking at getting either a GSX-R 600 or a 750 as a supersport for my stable. Looking forward to more vids with the 750. Best wishes with the addition, thanks for the feedback and support, and please be safe as well, my friend. Two Wheels Down!!

    The last GSXR750 I rode was a 98. It had a crazy top end and it belonged to a friend. I had an 86 GSXR1100, a 98 GSXR600, an 03 GSXR1000, and now I have a 21' GSXR1000R. I keep the electronics turned off. I have been thinking about the 750 for that good ole feeling again. That's really cool that you have both.

    Gorgeous bikes! I just sold my motorcycle a few weeks ago, it was my first, but felt I outgrew it fairly quickly (Kawasaki Vulcan S 650). I’m eyeing the GSX-R 750 because I think it will be an exciting upgrade, whereas with a 1000 cc bike, I worry I’ll be intimidated. I only started riding three years ago, so I don’t want to exceed my skills.

    • @QuikkSilver
      @QuikkSilver  Před dnem

      @wadeharris3159 Thank you, my friend! I am a staunch advocate of the 750. It truly gives you the best of both worlds. As for the 1000, I read you loud and clear. It is a powerful bike, but it's not uncontrollable. As alluded to in the video, you cab bridle the bike back and unleash it incrementally according to your comfort level. I can tell you're a wise rider. You'd be okay. But all the best in your decision. Thanks for swinging through! 😉🫡

    Thanks for the review. I own a '23 Gixxer 750, bought last spring, stored over winter, now has about 9600 miles on her. I've never had traction control or ABS or wheelie control on a bike. Modes schmodes - the goal is to become one with the bike and I have enough trouble getting one Mode hard-wired into my brain. I just leave on A mode. BTW, you need to repeat this review using the the top end power of the bikes; rev it out the way an I-4 was meant to be ridden.

    • @QuikkSilver
      @QuikkSilver  Před měsícem

      @GhostRider020 I appreciate you stopping by and sharing. I agree 100% gotta gel with the bike. I learned to ride on the 750 and initially all of my learning was in B mode. Once I got to the point where I was ready for the highway, I think that is when I started riding in A mode.
      But anyhow, stay tuned; I believe I have some footage of these bikes in thier natural element, otherwise I will have to let Quikk and Caesar properly rep for the GiXXER nation. Stay safe out there GhosterRider. 😎

      What's happening, Hugo.. yes, it is the Sixty61 Tappezzeria seat cover. It came with just the covers, no foam. Perfect fit and easy install, too. It is a bit pricey, but I have seen other brands that are pricier than that. If I had to do it again, I would.

    how is a gsxr 600 comfort wise for riding street light to street light traffic, city taffic, or more suburban areas?

    • @QuikkSilver
      @QuikkSilver  Před 24 dny +1

      @SIRA063, the 600 and 750 is basically the same bike - same chassis, etc., just different HP and Lbs. With that said, it's a great commuter bike to zip around the city or the suburbs. And since it's a smaller cc bike, it won't run as hot as a liter bike would in those environments. Granted, it is a sports bike, but it is quite comfortable. It's not going to wear you out in those environments. 😎

    Cool bikes and content, what a blessing to be able to have both. I've been looking to buy the 2024 gsxr1000r or 750 in tbe traditional white and blue color at a local dealer here in California for last month at least, and still can not decide. I can only afford one at the moment... If I had to pick one, which one would you recommend? Please help!

    • @QuikkSilver
      @QuikkSilver  Před 28 dny

      @israellarranaga8392 Thanks, my brother! I will tell you; as I am sure you already know, both bikes are amazing. But the 750 is a bit more versatile. You could commute with it, run errands, cruise around, and then you could also run with the bigger bikes out on the highway. Basically it gives you the best of both worlds as far as lightweight functionality, with that heavy weight punch. Now, the 1000 can be bridled down so that it behaves more like the 750, but that bigger bike is going to pull more out of you on those longer rides. You'll feel it more in your hands, wrists, knees, etc., because bigger bike vibrates harder. But it is a coin flip. The downside to the 750 is that there is no quickshifter (unless you install an aftermarket; which I did) that can be a gamechanger for some. You also only get a fuel light and not a guage; not too much of a biggie, one should get to know their bike to the point where you almost know intuitively when you should be stopping for gas, etc. Otherwise, I absolutley love my 750. The dealer should let you test ride them both if you are adamant on buying. I am curious to know how it works out for you. Keep me posted.

      @HotSizzleTV_ They are some amazing machines. I can only imagine whipping an 08 -- that would have to be an experience - just raw bike ...man. The S1000rr is a pretty bike though, plenty of bells and whistles too. I heard that the maintenance on them bad boys is on the pricier side though, just as it is with European cars. But couldn't knock anyone who owns or is looking to own one. But I love my GSXRs too brother, they're really all I know. The fairings on my 750 are aftermarket (had the tank painted to match). @QuikkSilver  Před 25 dny +1

      @ppg19782 I appreciate you stopping by and sharing those kind words. I can tell you that there is not much difference between the 600 and the 750 besides a little more weight and a few more horse power. Other than that, the bikes are virtually the same. Both bikes will hold their own on the road. These are raw street bikes, so there is no TC, ABS, CC, TFT display, or any of the other bells and whistles that are nearly standard on other bike brands. They do come with two rider modes, which are very useful. I really couldn't tell you what year hosted the best GSX-R, but I would encourage you to just get a new bike, that way you'll have warranty just in case you run into any mechanical problems. You never know how much neglect a bike has been subjected to by the previous owner. If you want to see a mean 600 in action, check out my video "Ride toEldersburg, Maryland" Bike & Breakfast. You'll see a 600 running with liter bikes, with no problem. I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other questions. All the best, my brother!! 😎🫡✌️

    I a life time GSXr guy., I traded in my 2004 Gsxr 600 for a 2015 Gsxr750 and then traded the 750 for my "brand new at the time" 2023 Gsxr 1000R. Hands down my 1000R has been the bike bike by far except for the occasional Quick shifter issue. ( My after market quick shifter worked better on my 2015 750) I do wish they added some color to the dash like the BMW's What sucks about the 750's is the fact that it hadn't change since 2011. I hated the dash on it. Oh, don't even get me started on having the same key for the last 20 years. Here's my 2023 1000r when i bought it new. czcams.com/video/R-F3Hsd_mnc/video.html

      @@QuikkSilver Thanks man. Yeah my son installed the quick shifter on my 2015 750 and even though I already owned the bike for 2 years it felt a totally new bike and loved to drive it even more. He had a 2003 Gsxr 750 and one day pulled up to my house with a 2018 BMW S 1000 RR.. I was like OH CRAP!!! and that's when I had to buy go out and my my 1000 to keep up lol. We ride together all the time. Best feeling ever.. Yeah I'm old AF ha ha

    If you can have only one of these bikes, which one?

    • @QuikkSilver
      @QuikkSilver  Před 2 měsíci +2

      @MinhVu-in9iz Ahhh, you put me on the spot like that?? 😃 That is such a hard question to answer lol. But to be completely honest, I think my 750 is slightly more fun. Especially since I have installed a quickshifter on it. It zips around, it's light and nimble and I honestly think it looks a bit better too. For the overall riding experience, I am going to say the 750.

Go ahead and get that 750, you'll love it, I guarantee. Best of luck with your decision, and keep me posted if you don't mind. 😉

      The 1000 is the stock mechanical gray. I had the 750 custom painted in monsoon gray.

    I think I would kill myself if I switched to a bike without TC or ABS. Those are good features. I wish they had it on the 750.

      @@QuikkSilver don't you find TC makes a huge difference on the highway in the wind? Also, do you never snatch the brakes? I do!

    • @QuikkSilver
      @QuikkSilver  Před 16 dny

      @sarahgoldfarb913 You literally made me laugh out loud!! 😄 If I were to be totally honest, TC only affects acceleration. The front and rear wheel sensors monitor the bikes wheel speed. TC will intervene as needed (according to the level of TC you have set on the bike) to keep both wheels at the same speed. If they are out of synch, it's because one of the tires has lost traction; at least to a degree. TC won't give you more traction. It just dampers power delivery to the rear wheel, which reduces the tendency to lose traction. My best advice is to avoid riding in high wind situations cause TC wont necessarily save your bacon. Riding is all about finesse; no sudden movements, but smooth and steady inputs. Snatching up the brakes is not a good idea, LOL! You should always brake progressively and only as aggressive as necessary to stop when you need to. 😉

      @deepolk2nd.7948 LOL! Thanks, my brother. Negative, I threw a bunch of mods on it. Basically, everything that's red is aftermarket, plus a few other items (winglet mirrors, smoked integrated tail light, flush mount signals etc.) Go ahead and get yourself one. Treat yourself. 😎

      @@deepolk2nd.7948 No worries, brother. Time waits for no one, and sometimes you just have to go for the gusto. But if it is your first bike, I would encourage you to get the 750 because you'll develop and hone your skills on a raw bike. You will truly learn to RIDE instinctually; finessing the throttle and clutch, braking progressively, etc. But whatever you do, have fun, take your time and do you. You don't have to compete or prove anything to anybody. Keep me posted if you don't mind. Two Wheels Down!
