@@Devo_gx both are Extreme-ly incredible achievements. I would argue that PCF'ing 5 times in a row on Extreme is actually harder than this MFC. Easy to forget the timing on Extreme was way more strict, not to mention the smaller screen with less precise speed mods.

What is the actual timing window on a MArvelous. I tried looking it up and a lot of people aren't super clear about it. The usual post says +/- 1 frame, but does that mean its a 3 frame window since you have the frame then 1 frame on either side or is it a 2 frame window because its just the +/- 1 frame window
I Heard that in the New DDR games (DDR A to DDR A20+) the Marvelous timing window is 16.6 ms The timing window really was 1 frame until DDR 2014, but with a frame based timing window only songs with especific bpms could bê MFCed

The only reason the timing was different before DDR A was due to polling rate which made it so certain BPMs were more even with the polling, which allowed more consistent MFCability. It was always +/- 1 frame in the sense of a 2 frame window, but due to how older mixes handled polling it made it that if a song wasn't evenly fitting in the game's fps the marvelous window would shift.

Right on the line (0 ms) is the "starting" point of the note, the "center." 16.6ms out to either side is the marvelous window, so you have to hit it within a 33.2ms window, which is about 1/30th of a second. And you have to hit it within 1/30th of a second for every single note. It's really, really difficult.

IIRC that was five times, then Legend of Max, since you needed to clear that song specifically to get to the encore.

It's +/- 2 frames, IIRC so 1.66 ms or so.
You'd think it's a 4 frame window, but it's actually 5 frames counting the zero frame.
