Hi Glyn really good videos. I bought an old 1700s farm house last year which needs some lime pointing. I was going to have ago my self but what do you do where the wall stones are at the ground level? Do you dig 6-12” deep and continue mortaring with lime or is it sufficient to stop there? Thanks in advance- great channel!!

If you can dig down
Remove any soil from the walls it's a good idea
If its gravel you will fine doing down to ground level
