I recommend you just play whichever one you think is coolest. We're going into a new expansion in August and it's unclear which spec will be best when it comes out since all the specs have received pretty substantial changes and they haven't done very much balance tuning yet. All the specs look promising in terms of gameplay for the war within, so you can't really go wrong with any of them. As a new warlock player, I wouldn't worry about what's best right now in Dragonflight season 4, since it doesn't really matter until you're doing high level content. If you really want to play the "best" spec right now, I would recommend destruction or demonology. All the specs have their niches in raid - overall, destruction is best on most bosses, but demonology is best on most of the hard bosses and affliction has a few fights where it excels. Destruction is strongest in high mythic+ and demonology is strongest in low-medium mythic+. I think these specs will also feel more intuitive than affliction as a new player, as affliction's current design is a little clunky.
