Breathing forms are literally just swinging a sword in a fancy way. The visual effects are quite literally not real at all; there's no magic fire or water or anything like that, just swordplay. Hamon is a breathing technique that is in several different ways better than the breathing forms in demon slayer, in the fact that it ACTUALLY HAS SPECIAL ABILITIES. And for the thing he said regarding how if their incapacitated hamon becomes useless, it's shown with Joseph vs Dio that even in time stop he can still utilize hamon as a sort of anti-vampire armor, which would burn Dio to a crisp if he touched him. So no, being incapacitated does NOT negate the usefulness of hamon. Any other arguments as to how apparently breathing forms are "better than hamon"? Love to hear them.

I'd say Hamon is arguably better than Breathing Forms simply because you just have to touch an undead to kill it, unlike having to do a very precise strike on one part of the body to kill them. It also helps that Hamon is can be conducted through a lot of things, so you don't even need a sword to kill them
Yea from my perspective over the course of the series phantom blood and battle tendency you got a good understanding of what and how Hamon is used due to the constant examples of what works and what doesn’t work. Plus it was slightly described that Hamon is basically sunlight essence that flows through all matter so I would say he was wrong about that in his assessment but this is all opinion anyway

20:52 I‘d actually say that the vibe they are going for is a mix of humor and horror. A meshed experience that is compelling because of how hard to predict it is. Yet uses such a constant amount of dramatically flair so that if you go along with it you are genuinely moved by some scenes despite it being jarring. I know not everyone can go along with it but at least to me Jojo‘s always has been fun.

Calling Hamon worse than the Demon Slayer breathing is wild when that has only one property while Hamon can actually be used in different ways. Also Character Development isn't needed in good writing, it helps but it's not that necessary if there's other entertaining things about it

If I saw any of these things I would have to explain this just to comprehend what is going on.
Not only does disliking them make him sound like a dragon ball fan, but without them nobody would understand what is happening in the later parts, I mean even with the constant explanations people joke about how you need a degree in physics to understand the fight scenes

It's clear he didn't like the show and just wanted to crap on it, he said himself that he took 2 months to finish 1 part, if he actually had passion for the show he could have finished it in a week minimum.
Not only that but he completely skipped the training arc with zeppili where Jojo learns to sense enemies while in the dark and said he "knew him for like 1 episode" which is silly.

Just get all the way through Stardust Crusaders and then P1 rewatch will feel super good.
I used to think P1 was boring too but then I endured the pain of P3 and rewatched P1 so now I actually really like P1.
Ya part 1 feels dated but its only 9 episodes, and part 2 is a a strong 9/10 and one of my favorites only beaten out by part 4 in my opinion.

Battle Tendency is 9/10 but it would be 10/10 if the opening was good as Sono Chi No Sadame.

@@mukulshrivastava1031 . The really amazing thing is that I also used to think Bloody Stream was best but then I got through Stardust Crusaders, rewatched Battle Tendency, Rewatched Phantom Blood, and now Sono Chi No Sadame sounds best to me.
As someone who actually likes Jojo, I understand where you're coming from, especially about explaining the fight or even the next attack itself. I personally think it does get a little better later on, but it's generally a persistent issue that can feel a bit annoying.
That being said, I love Jojo regardless. Fights are cool and the characters are pretty interesting in parts 4 and 5, and the ending is pretty fire ngl.

@@PresentP how are demon slayer breathings and hamon similar? hamon is a thing that they can see, its a legitiment power and technique that can be used in various situations...the "BREATHINGS" in demon slayer, they arent a technique just a fighting style that is hardly different and most of them look very similar and are just generally the same in most part's, oh and if you want to say thats wrong, the breathing style's are also just, not see-able, its just them swinging normally and theres just effects made for simple eye-candy so theres also that

I honestly was surprised that you didn't like jojos that much. Part 2 is honestly my favorite part. And for you calling it more like "Johns average trip," I think Part 3 does a good job in being an bizzare adventure. Just note that part 3 anime might drag on a lot, and make fights longer then they have to be. idrk what else to say.
Dont worry, as a jojo fan, I know you'll be able to double that word count on stuff you dislike for part 3.
The writing does improve as it goes on, though. Arguably Peaking in part 7, but I believe the writing is already fantastic by the time you get to part 4, though the part isn't perfect. There is something so interesting about seeing a flawed writer and artist improve so much over the course of writing a story to the point where their storytelling verges on genius and their artwork is featured in museums. It's inspiring.
Anyway, now I have to say dumb jojo fan thing....

You made a really big deal about how they explain everything, but that's probably the most important part. If it didn't explain anything, you wouldn't be able to figure anything out for yourself. Especially later on, many stands have powers that are half science, half magic, and a lot of people don't have physics degrees. I know I don't. People always want something to whine about, so they whine about the over explanation, but they would whine that it didn't make any sense if it didn't. (In fact, they still do. I hear people talk about how the main villain powers make 0 sense even with the in-depth explanations that the show gives.)
I have a seething hatred for gabfr now as he was uncultured not one time BUT TWICE calling dio toji and calling hamon breathing styles from DS but worse, even though dio came before toji and hamon came before breathing styles! I WILL DEVOUR YOUR FIRSTBORN
