WHAT A JOKE. Fedor fought for PrideFC which had the deepest heavyweight division (along with other divisions) at the time. At the time, PrideFC had Nogeira, Randleman, Coleman, Crocop, Hunt, Herring, Schilt, Arona, Kharitanov, Barnett. Compared to that, the UFC had Sylvia (champ which Fedor eventually beat), Vera, Arlovski (which Fedor eventually beat), Mir, Monson (which Fedor eventualy beat), Ricco Rodriguez, Couture (who moved down to lhw). Who Tito Ortiz beat aside from Vitor Belfort, Evan Tanner, Wanderlie before hitting his prime and a washed up Ken Shamrock?

If Emelianenko came to the UFC earlier in his career we would have been able to see exactly how good he really was.

No, my casual friend, in Fedor’s prime era, PRIDE FC was the #1 MMA organization in the world, while UFC was in struggle. Only after the Yakuza scandal and UFC growing again, that changed and Zuffa bought PRIDE and extinguished it. Even Dana White admits and admitted that PRIDE at that time was the #1 organization in the world.
Fedor was one of the best heavyweights of all time. In terms of legacy I think Cormier and Miocic are ahead of him now. Still one of the best if all time. Same goes with Cro Cop.
