Watched this after watching John Phillips talk about it. I gotta agree with most of what he said. I do a lot of drain cleaning. I've learned to use the biggest head that will move down the drain easily. Sometimes that little spring head pokes a hole and the clog is still there. I use a head i call the christmas tree head 95% of the time. It's the perfect combination of cutting power and it's easy to push down the drain. K- 60 machine is a bit small for outside lines too. It will work but a k1500 with an 1-1/4" cable will work better. Mikey, i know drain cleaning aint your normal thing but it doesn't look like plumbing and air by toms thing either.
In that you mentioned John Phillips, your team could take some lessons from Ole Johnny Sunshine. He would have had that stoppage diagnosed and cleared in 30 minutes single handed (& with gloves while handling that shitty snake). Tom should reach out to Johnny for some tips on how to properly set a toilet (with the proper closet bolts, shims & caulking), just sayin!!!
tome needs to get some more modern drain clearing machines...need a ridgid drum machine or some ridgid flex shaft...that looked like some old school stuff

I've had it happen, kinda scary but I couldn't imagine bare handing my coil, bacteria getting transferred from coil to hand from hand to phone to handles and other surfaces in the building. Not to mention having a small cut or abrasion on your hand and giving the bacteria an open path to your bloodstream. I'm all for not following some over the top safety regs. Some of them are ridiculous but handling feces residue o don't play around. I actually wear the throw away tyvek suit during power auger use because when your pulling it in and out the machine as it turns kicks the coil and it sprays on you. Argghhhh

Never considered Throwing a Paper Towel or a “Supposed” Flushable 🤪👎 Wipe in a Toilet. 🚽 Paper Towel is used on Door Handle to Exit a Public Restroom. 👍
