  • Crewe Heritage Centre held a Forging History: 180 years of the Crewe Works exhibition over summer 2023. For the last week of August this included a visit of LNWR Webb Coal Tank No. 1054, built in Crewe in 1887 on display in the exhibition hall alongside new built LNWR 2013 Prince George.
Outside the miniature railway was running steam with a 7 1/4 inch gauge Mainline Hunslet 'Jenny' miniature running.

Awesome. 1054 looks really nice and I’m excited for the Prince George new build.

Absolutely wow. Crewe Heritage Centre is really amazing & fantastic with a mixed variety locomotives & rolling stock. Can’t wait to see Coal Tank in action during this Autumn. Excellent video 👍

Can't wait for the Prince George replica to be complete. It'll be a treat to see run and it'll let us experience a LNWR express locomotive in present day that wasn't built prior to 1900.

This looks like the day I was there too😬 the rain was biblical, spent a lot of the visit indoors😂 although I did get to ride Jenny after the crew dried the seats (credit to them). Thanks for the video😊
