Bulawayo steam loco shed, Zimbabwe

In the 90ties, Bulawayo hosted the last operating big steam shed in Africa. The Garratt type locomotives worked on all lines radiating from the city.
In der 90er Jahren war das Bahnbetriebswerk von Bulawayo das letzte große Dampflokdepot in Afrika. Die Loks der Bauart Garratt beförderten Züge auf allen von Bulawayo ausgehenden Strecken. Das Video ergänzt das Themenheft ‚Afrika‘ in der Zeitschrift Fernexpress Heft 4/2017.
