I'm both impressed and very appealed by the parts involving the ex. She broke up with him, sure, but it was for understandable reasons and she's legit supported the MC for a long time before that. But while Momoka returns as the business is going well and she asks to get back together, when Keiichi respectfully turns her down because he got feelings for another. Momoka doesnt act entitled to everything(Even tho respectfully she should after all the genuine support she had given him) and even looks at the girl knowingly and understanding with respect.
I really enjoy this change of routine. The ex is not the bad guy, heck, she isnt even A bad guy. After all these events unfolding i could still see her and the MC being on good terms and her still being rewarded for all the years she's supported his struggling business before she finally couldnt take it anymore.
While i hate many bad girlfriends in these manga-dubs, i do admit that them truly supporting the MC for a long time is as much of a labor as it is for the MC's. So seeing them punished for breaking up or even reduced to gold-diggers does genuinely feel undeserving. So again, i really REALLY like this twist.

Even though it was understandable that Momoka left Keiichi due to not being sure if the business would be able to recover she has my respect for accepting her loss and mistake with grace, even giving her blessings to Keiichi and Yui to be happy together
Hopefully Momoka can find someone wonderful of her own and learn from that mistake to never leave someone in their time of need, to always have faith in them
