  • My Path Projects review and running shorts haul. Reviewing the Path Projects running shorts; Backbone PX, Sykes AT, and Wildcat AT shorts. As well as the Path Projects shirt and hat. I think the Wildcat AT 3" shorts are the best running shorts! #pathprojects #runningshorts

    Love all the pockets and storage options. The Sykes AT seems awesome. What is your preference, separate liners or shorts with briefs? Thank you for the honest review Steven.

    • @UltraTrailSteven
      @UltraTrailSteven  Před 2 lety +3

      I have never liked shorts with built in liners or briefs. My go to combo is the XOSKIN XOUNDERWEAR with the Path Projects Wildcat AT 3" shorts overtop. I love that combo! Thanks, Sage!

    Any pants/shorts that could fit a phone with an otter box is great in my book lol. Really liking the hats. Both designs and colours are so nice.

    Great reviews. I've always made do with cheap old athletic gear, but I'm finding it just doesn't cut it for ultras. I'm slowly adding quality pieces for those longer runs and races. Shorts are next. I'll check them out, thanks!

    • @UltraTrailSteven
      @UltraTrailSteven  Před 2 lety +2

      Yeah good gear is definitely worth it in ultras. Although its hard to spend the money up front! Path Projects doesn't have a womens line yet, but I am sure the other shorts could work too.

    Really helpful video, thanks. I'm struggling to work out if I should get classic fit or relaxed versions? Where does one draw the line?

    • @UltraTrailSteven
      @UltraTrailSteven  Před rokem +1

      It depends on how you like your shorts to fit. The classic fit will be a bit more snug on the quads.

    When you don't want to wear separate liners, are these shorts good too without liner underneath? Have you tried the shorts w/o liners for example when it's super hot or wet outside and want to dry up and cool down as much as possible?

    • @UltraTrailSteven
      @UltraTrailSteven  Před 2 lety +1

      There is no built in liner at all so your bits would be flopping about. I wouldn’t recommend it.

      @@UltraTrailSteven Without liners the shorts are cheaper too so if it allows to save some $$$, and liners/briefs aren't always supportive so it is really an issue?

    Xoskin fan-haven’t considered wearing shorts over-you mentioned shirt becomes soaked…what’s your go-to top?
    Thanks in advance.

    • @UltraTrailSteven
      @UltraTrailSteven  Před 2 lety +2

      The Xoskin shirts you don’t need to wear something over, but the xounderwear are quite thin. Don’t have to, but I don’t want to subject people to that 😂
      My go to top is the Xoskin 3/4 sleeve form fit. Any shirt gets wet, but this one doesn’t stretch and is just awesome!

      Thank you for the reply. Live near border in south Texas-humidity y heat are enemy combatants. Recently tried the Xoskin tops-everything becomes soaked 6 miles in-nothing wicks…but agree with stench aspect.

      @@UltraTrailSteven I was just looking at that. Per my email archive, I've had mine over a year and they still look and feel great. No durability issues. I wash the shorts and liners normally, but I do NOT put the shorts in the dryer. I air dry the shorts on hangers.
