A little documentary I made about my favourite CZcams channel. I'm sure most people will know who they are. But on the off chance you aren't aware, then hopefully this video will get you wanting to watch their shows. Hope you all enjoy. Big Thank you to Jimmy Bunker for helping me when I got stuck making this. Which was a lot. And thank you to horse ninja for coming on the show.

Best channel ever
There’s a particularly great story behind the Dick the birthday boy picture. Rich talked about on stream was after Rich’s grandmother died he was heartbroken and wanted to throw out his family photo albums. Mike told Rich he’d do it for him but knowing rich would regret it , he kept the photos only for years later to produce the dick the birthday boy photo and get rich onto the Ellen show

RLM is really the only channel on CZcams where I feel completely at home. I feel like I know the gang there, even though I never met any of them ever. It's the one channel I would truly miss if ever they decide to quit.

I've rewatched their videos countless times especially the Best of the Worst series.
Best of the worst is brilliant.
Having RLM on in the background whilst doing stuff is like having a group of friends hanging around.
All i did in lockdown, watching them and the delray misfits
100 percent. One of my hobbies is building model kits and they are essential listening whenever I’m doing that hobby.
Glad to know i'm not the only one that does this. It makes work go by so much faster.

While the moment is quite adorable, Rich was bound to make a right prediction connected to 9/11 at some point. I mean, he mentions it every 10 minutes.

I only discovered them about a year ago or so? And I feel like I really know the dudes. It's weird. I guess just because you can tell they put up no act or front and that genuine feel just makes them seem more "real" than a lot of other people on YT. If that makes sense
I just keep watching their entire library on repeat between uploads by this point.
I watch some of their videos more than once. Demolitions man review for example I’ve watched maybe 4 times. And the plinket reviews I’ve watched a few times too

I've had the BOTW on loop for some years now.
Hack Fraud Mike Stoklasa crying over the Shatner drama is one of the few things that makes my cold, emotionless body feel genuine sadness.
I’ve never heard of Mr Snowflake, but I just watched over an hour of his content because the algorithm knows I love RLM. Now I’m subscribing to him because this video was brilliant.

It is interesting reading the comments here and how people feel less lonely, less depressed when they watch RLM. This has been my personal experience as well. I really got into them in 2019-present (early 2021) and RLM was really a lifesaver to me during a difficult time of underemployment and struggling for sobriety from addictions. Our internet age can be a lonely one, so perhaps it isn’t just RLM that has this effect. However, if I had to say specifically why RLM has this effect on me, it’s perhaps because their joking is genuinely good spirited, except perhaps with people like the suits at Disney and Paramount. But when it comes to shows like BOTW, it’s so obvious that they’re appreciative of people for at least trying to create something. And RLM acknowledges how difficult it is. Perhaps there is a sense of self-deprecation and not taking oneself too seriously that I relate to. After all, the internet is teeming with celebs and wannabes who take themselves so seriously. In reality, the common man knows he’s imperfect and that he tries and fails often. And there’s something comforting about this. It isn’t that it’s desirable to fail. But it is deeply human to try things that don’t workout, despite your best efforts. And yet, life goes on, we wake up another day, we try again. Maybe I’m reading into it too much, but I think there’s something there with RLM, or rather, something that isn’t there. There’s a genuine sense of “having a laugh” without being invective and cancerous with criticism. And this is the case even with the most brutal, jarring critiques, like Star Trek Picard. RLM consistently gives superb criticism without going overboard in a self-serious way. I want to be more like that in my personal life, and even towards myself and my own mistakes. Anyhow, I’m rambling now. Thanks for making this documentary. And thanks, RLM. You might’ve not have noticed you were doing all this, but my brain did. You’re a bright spot in a weird world.

One of the things I love about RLM is they don't ask for subs, likes, have sponsored ads, or beg for their patreon. They know people will support them if they enjoy their content. Every so often they'll advertise for merchandise, but that's like once in a blue moon.

They still get SO much support on Patreon. Before they took down their numbers they were getting like $6k+ a month. They absolutely deserve it.
The effect that RLM has had on all of our lives is honestly kind of heartwarming and beautiful.
I also discovered them in 2015 after reading some comments saying stuff like "it's gonna be great" and "jar jar is the key to all this" in some random video. So I googled the quotes and ended watching the whole prequel reviews until late at night. It was almost cathartic.
I like that it doesn't feel like a CZcams channel. No memes references, no talk directly to the camera, no weird interaction in social media with followers (except for new videos announcements or any important news) and very long videos at a time people thought shorter and quick videos were the way to do it.
Every time they upload a video I reserve some time to watch it.
Been watching RLM since 2010, it's so true that they never became boring.
in 2014 i was diagnosed with some heavy shit that disrupted my life even to this day. and when it was at its hardest in 2015-2016 i discovered RLM and BOTW and it just gave me so much when everything was so hard. their work really got me through some tough times and continues to give me alot of joy and laughter as the years roll by. im always thankful for their content and i think their work is incredibly positive
Wow man, gotta say until recently I thought CZcams was just a nice thing to put on when you’re bored or whatever. But it’s only recently I’m realising how helpful certain channels can actually be to people. Especially people going through stuff. Thanks for sharing
RLM consistently puts out triple-A content, they've blown all their contemporaries out of the water.
To me, RLM and Cinemassacre are on the same level. Both filmmakers, both have legendary review series that started from early 2000s internet
@@thatonea-hole Terrible comparison. Cinemassacre puts out lazy half-assed content, they NEVER use clips and do very surface level critiques.
They’re able to get people like McCauley Culkin and Patton Oswalt when people like Chris Stuckmann only WISH they could. They never sacrifice the quality of their videos… Rich Evans is the glue that holds the entire group together. He’s the guy who makes all the sets and does all the woodworking.
I will say Josh is my least favorite… He always seems to pile on Rich Evans whereas the rest of the group picks on Rich Evans out of love.
@@thatonea-hole BTW, RLM never plagiarized a review. They even said as much in the last Best of the Worst! Cinemassacre, meanwhile, had to eat a giant sandwich filled with shit after getting caught outsourcing reviews to an intern that ended up plagiarizing.
RLM is the best team ever. The channel is the greatest ever. They NEVER sacrifice the integrity of their creativity.
Ok, I finally got to finish this man. Amazing job dude, seriously. The clips used, the editing, wow. I hope they get to see this man. This was absolutely a labor of love.

It’s true, and after watching so many of their videos, it’s obvious to me how much other movie review channels try to mimic their style
Very reminiscent to what Norm MacDonald was to comedy. Not many people get it, but what you get is of the highest quality and integrity and the big names put them at #1.
If each channel on CZcams had an index to show the rewatch-ability of their videos, redlettermedia would stack highest on that list.

I know Len. He's one of the kindest, most humble, and passionate creators I've been lucky enough to spend time with.
Considering how he seems when he's been on their channel and how well he takes jokes at his expense I can believe it.
Len Kabasinski is amazing. The fact that they straight up clowned his movies and he still came on Best of the Worst… Len is a class act. He has a great love for B movies and ninja movies and has a sense of humor about his content. Love him immensely!

The part where you parallel the episode one review segment of asking people to define characters from the movie is gold. Especially the Jack part where nobody can describe him, much like nobody could define any of the Episode I characters, ending with the cut of Jack realizing the purpose of the questions. It's so meta!!!

I came across them because I was searching for B-Movies that I haven‘t watched yet and seeked guidance through that enormous sea of badness in one of their Best of the Worst videos. I was immediately hooked because it reminded me of the countless nights my best friend and I watched 2-3 B-movies while getting drunk and pointing at everything weird that we saw.
RML have such a great chaotic energy that I just loved from the beginning.
The worst part of when I found RLM a year ago, was when I got caught up on the content and like Mr Snowflake said, had to WAIT. Thanks for doing this man. I have nothing but respect for this piece. I love RLM man, like so many others, they're like my brothers that I haven't met. They really do feel like long lost friends I haven't spoke to in person for years. It's hard to explain but I have noticed that a lot of their followers have this feeling. I don't get this feeling from any other YT channel. It just literally feels as if I am "home" and amongst my people when I turn my lights off, get RLM going an chill an watch.

I've seen their videos around and being recommended for years, but actually just recently started watching them. I was really sleeping on them. These guys are kinda geniuses, especially Mike. The Lightening Fast VCR Repair and Mr Plinkett skits are better than any real tv shows. And the Nerd Crew stuff is brilliant. You can tell a lot of work, planning and production goes into it although they make it seem effortless.
I found RLM in about 2013 at a similarly low point in my life. I don’t watch them too often now as I have other interests but will always appreciate them, even if they’re the most disappointing thing since my son. No, my other son...

I was fortunate enough to first come across RLM with the 'Star Trek: Generations' review. When the trailer for 'The Phantom Menace' review appeared, I thought it was odd to switch between those two franchises, but I've been watching for almost 11 years now.
Bruh, after getting hooked on RLM during a 24hr layover in Beijing around 2016, this is possibly the best overview of the channel.

My 'best' RLM moment was the gang hearing the line "Well, that explains common logic", and every one of them has a different reaction.

I lived without internet, mostly by choice, from 2013 to 2015. It was nice to be unplugged.
A friend of mine took 6 months to convince me to watch an interview of theirs, then I saw the BOTW episode with SOS on it. I instantly binged everything of theirs.
The only YT channel that I love and watch all their content.

McCaulay Culkin is an interesting character. He comes off as a genuine "hippie" type of guy who really tries to do no harm. He's still making movies and apparently has been at A-list parties his whole life despite essentially"retiring" after Home Alone 2
My introduction to RLM was the legendary Prometheus questions video, been a slobbering fanboy ever since

I adored seeing the famous faces of indi directors and other personalities interact with RLM crew the most. It is all too easy to play to the knee jerk emotions and take things personally online that it is really refreshing to see people not only be able to not take themselves so seriously but also dish it back and everyone is well meaning in the end.
Nice little historical documentary and a celebration. I wasn't going to watch this but it kept showing up in my suggested feed for like a week straight and I'm glad it did. Good job, man.

I love that Mike & Rich love Star Trek for the same idealistic reason I do. They get that if Star Wars is rock & roll then Trek is classical and it takes time to appreciate the writing and performance without explosions and BS.
I've seen a few RLM tribute/showcase videos on youtube but this is by far the best. This is so good RLM should've featured it on their channel or linked it in the description of their 100th BOTW episode. I'm so glad the algorithm suggested it, otherwise I never would've known about it. Thanks for the entertainment, that hour flew by.
