Well, it’s actually smart because it boosts the Amazon business but not just that, it also brings a whole lot of jobs to Mexicans and I personally think it’s a win win situation for Amazon and Mexicans in the San ysidro area. It’s not a disgusting system entirely but I see how it could be messed up in some ways but it’s not really that bad. Just as long as the pay is fair enough then Mexicans will be happy because it isn’t a low paying manual labor job anyways.
I live near there, and those cardboard houses are there because in Mexico you can take ownership of a property if you live in it for more than 5 years, these people are only waiting for their property title to be able to build legally.

I work at the Otay Mesa road one and most people I work with are legal permanent residents or us citizens living in Tijuana. You know the work ethics are superb, I have work in mfg in both sides pf the border before retiring and I’ll I can say is that Mexican people have crazy good work ethics. Jeff Bezos nailed it by creating a warehouse in this area because the workers in this area will never quit for stupid reasons like you see Americans do in CZcams 😂
