Yup
The 247 is impressive because it shows how even a young brand can make something really really good for $150. The construction, materials, tech and the thought that went into every aspect is just awesome.
I am just curious. Is the EQLZ the same as the Equalizer brand that Nightwing made a video of the Equalizer Sphere?

Honestly, these are probably the best looking basketball shoe I have seen in a long long time. Like this feels very modern but very vintage at the same time.
Been a big Aaron Cooper fan since I saw your video with him and then the Complex sneaker show. Dude seems to just have a lot of passion and genuine curiosity which to me is rad af when you’ve done what he’s done, and for that long. Plus you co-signing him makes me think it’s real.
Those shoes do look amazing too. Like a better take on the flimsy knitted stuff everyone failed at 5 years ago.
As an older player. I really needed that forefoot cushion. Definitely love my pair!
is all the pebax foam on the forefoot or is it full lenght?
Is it necessary to go down half size in your opinion? I'm US12/46/30cm in most brands. Except Li-Ning, I'm half up from it.
@@rezap5331 not to me. i guess you could if you really wanted a super snug fit where your toe is right at the edge, but from my experience, going to true to size is right where I think it should be. base is wide enough to allow your toes to splice and spread out naturally with no issues whatsoever. foot stays locked down at all times also. really great so far. love everything about them aside from the traction. not that it's bad. it's just that when i really try to plant hard i notice i tend to slide instead of stopping on a dime. granted the floor i play on is always extremely dirty and not well kept at all. only worn them three times also. could just be a break in thing as well. i feel like if i were to play on any other gym floor they'd be A1.
@@rezap5331I stayed with my true to size which is a 12. I wear an elite or Move sock which is a little thicker than the Nike socks.

Great review! Got mines a few days ago! Amazing!!!!!! I’m an old head and need the cushion, but also like a shoe that has great court feel, and these bad boys are so on point! Coop and his team basically made the perfect hoop shoe! I can’t wait for more from the brand!!!!!! 🤙🏾

These definitely peaked my interest when I hear Aaron Cooper was involved. To me they look like a better looking AE1.
I’ve been looking forward to this review since Aaron debut it! That swoop from the PIP 2 was the first thing that aight my eye and I LOVE IT!!! So happy to hear it’s a great performer….especially the traction which was what i was curious about. The other shoe that implemented a similar concept regarding shark skin/scales was the Kobe X traction. Seems like this actually delivered on what it set out to accomplish. As for the question of the day, as a voice actor….I’ll have to pass on the yelling, so Speaking my mind it is….I already do it, but I’ve learned to filter it better with age…..but HEY, if I have to say all the shit in my head, Done! 😂

just caught th e restock... I wear 10.5 casually and 11 in my basketball shoes so I went with an 11. hope the fit is right worse case I'll add an insole. Thanks for the awesome review
Non-slip shoes worn in restaurant kitchens have this type of traction. You can buy them for $30 at Walmart. I’m mad I didn’t realize this tech could be used on court. Bringing this over to bball shoes makes a ton of sense

Just played in mine tonight! Love them, could’ve gone TTS (I have wide feet) but went 1/2 size up and they still feel great

Reckon with a skinnier foot going down half a size would be alright?
I'm normally an 11 in nike shoes.. trying to suss out sizing for these, when they do re re stock.
@@swarlzz just got mine in yesterday and yeah, with a skinnier foot, I recommend down 1/2 size, as Chris recommended as well. For me being slightly wide, flat footed, they work going true to size. There’s a bit of length in the toe but not too much

A little long but it didn’t cause any issues.
True 13.5 here, got a 13 after measuring my foot and comparing to their size guide. They definitely run big and these fit perfect .5 size down. Loving these, rotating between these and the Kobe 8 protros, coming from the first Kawhi NBs.

Had the same exact issue with fit. Usually wear a 10 and had to go down a half size on another pair because I had too much foot movement laterally.

Elegant functionality disguised as a work of art. A modern visual and performance masterpiece with beautiful throwback hints of the transformational 90’s. The silhouette is so distinctive no logo is needed. The overall design says more than a brand icon could. And bonus: they’re easy on the eyes like a Victoria Secret model.

Narrow footer here; if you’re like me, you HAVE TO go down half a size! Like Chris, I went true to size and had to send them back it was so long with too much volume, even with a custom insole. Thankfully EQLZ does free returns, unfortunately I now have to wait for a restock. 😕

It did fit slightly long but I needed the width.
If I went a half size down, it may have been too narrow for me.
