Lmao many people come here to argue about it, so I'm gonna share my opinion in this topic:
Executioner IS a ranged tower, it has a melee weapon yes, but it uses a ranged attack, the type of weapon doesn't matter for this
It's like punching a guy with a pistol and saying it's a ranged attack because you punched him with a ranged weapon
It isn’t tho, that’s just common sense…

Here's a challenge in case you do a part 2: Beat any gamemode with units only. Basically your only allowed to use military base and such. Crook boss is allowed but it must be out of range for the tower itself to hit anything. Ideal gamemode would be normal.
I have tried that yesterday and here is my conclusion
Mil base, elf camo and crook units decimates molten and normal
They lost to tank in fallen

One of my friends did a "Slow Challenge" where we used towers that could slow enemies and it worked really well. I think you should try it
If there gonna be part two I can suggest to buy one and only one tower every wave on Molten/Fallen mode.
For better understanding:
- You must place 1 tower every wave (wave 0 is included) till you won't reach tower limit (should happen on wave 39 or 40 idk)
- You can't place less or more than 1 tower per wave (you can't place 0)
- You can take anything in load out
You also can't sell towers
well you don't get money at wave 0 bow

Executioner isnt a Melee tower btw, Even though he has an axe he throws it. Melee meaning slashing or stabbing in a small area.

@@gamermike111 the executioner has a range above 6, which is the average range of a melee tower in tds, executioner has more than 6 range and uses a tomahawk which is an axe you throw, sure if an enemy gets close to it, it will do melee.

You should have make a line of wardens at the start because four seasons has a very long path next to the start
The melee challenge is much easier if you used warden more and less gladiators in late game since warden is great at a single target
For your next challenge, you can use the stun and freeze towers. Such as, freezer, icer, sledger, electric. And any other towers
Melee only is kinda possible but u need supports. Which ruins the melee only towers but its possible i did it with warden only and supports. and its possible to beat fallen with sledger and Warden and Supports.
me and a few mates used to use sledger and gladiator and it fucking shreds fallen, you just need high dps and a massive line of constant dps
Technically, every tower is a melee tower. You can totally smack someone with a minigun
and shotgun, plane, m4, firball

Farm only is possible,unless the level has a limit but if there is none,then you could just level up until lvl 9076 to just be able to beat molten mode by tanking health

From my experience, if you do the melee challenge with a friend, it’s easy to fight the hiddens with warden, sledger who has splash damage, and gladiator for early game.
none of the melee towers you listed have splash damage

Only gladiator does, sledger only can hit 4 enemies at once, so non-splash damage

Challenge idea if you ever do this again: use the tower loadout: Mage Accelerator, Pumpkin Gladiator, Ghost Commander and Dj, and Graveyard Farm. And play Necropolis specifically
I just got myself a kinda good strategy to win (jk im Just trying to remember my old one) but like you place farms and mili base and then just get max dj near both of them and upgrade to max, then you place ace pilots and turrets (also sell your dj and put him closer to those instead because the farms and bases are already max) and then just level those up too, maybe you can change ace pilot for commander but whatever you want and then I'm pretty sure youd win (I also recommend a map like crossroads where the enemies walk over one spot twice, that's where you place the turrets and stuff)

For example: if you use Accelerator for Dead Ahead, you can't use it for Gilded Path

well you could have won in the first challenge if you focus to place and upgrade the wardens, because they have alot of damage and they stun, but also it is only one target, but still it deals alot of damage.

sniper only is actually possible on trio-squad abandond city molten (bc it's a large map with a ton of cliffs)

@@Y0urAverag3J03 nope i tried it with 3 people and we had max glads and we're spamming the abilities we couldn't beat fallen nor molten.
Edit: the molten boss had 23k health remaining
@@blewedeh thats decent, but maybe if you had support (commander) then glad can maybe solo molten
In the first challenge it would have been possible if you placed max wardens instead of max gladiators since warden is better then glad but also warden costs a lot.

@@ViceDoggo Both towers have different uses, it's not really fair to measure them by DPS only. Glad is best for tight hordes of grouped enemies, but can struggle with single zombies, while Warden specializes at dealing with bosses and other high health enemies, but can easily be overrun by a horde.

Looking at this in 2024 I was surprised that he was not using brawler as that is one of the best towers in the game current, but the I saw the date and thinking about it now brawler would make the melee challenge way easier.

If ya want, try to beat molten with " fair war " challange - ya can only summon towers ( crock boss, military base, ace pilot, and others alike )

the first challange you can easily beat, just warden spam since warden does almost as much dps as a minigunner
nowadays after the freezer buff and tower reworks, the second challenge might be do able as all these towers are at least decent now
When propellers spent all the coins on basic crates a homeless life ad popped up
for the blue skins one you should've used ghost dj since it's mainly colored blue

plus the later upgrades till lvl 4 are blue after lvl 4 is lvl 5 which makes it purple

Dare: I Dare You To Get To The Backrooms: heres a quick tutorial. First Go To Tds, Go To The Hardcore Elevators, When Someone Is inside An Elevator, And Is Going Down, Go To Every Corner Of The Elevator, Then You Get Inside That Elevator, You See A Yellow, Orange Thingy.
Then Go Inside.
Executioner isn't a melee tower, it has melee weapon but that doesn't mean Executioner is melee tower, just look how Executioner use his axe he throw not slash or smack enemy so Executioner it's not melee tower
And executioner is worse in close ranges

When i started playing my loadout was farm soldier freezer demoman and paintballer i awlays died to wave 32 or 35 in crossroads

For the plush challenge if you used medic you could heal up after every wave and do some damage i mean its just a support tower so.
I literally did the first challenge solo without losing any health it is so easy!
For the second challenge you can solo with just scout and it is not hard at all!

here’s the challenge in case you do part 2:
try to get a powerful load out and then get people to carry you to hardcore then place ace pilot then farms and level up farm to level 2 and ace pilot to level 1 then place any tower and level up any tower to level 3 and on wave 40 place a bunch of towers then on wave 50 try to hit tower limit and once you win you passed and won the challenge

it is actually possiblle but your decesion of prioritizing in gladiators for the boss is the mistake gladiator is bad at tanky enemies for singe target damage use warden even thought he can't stun the boss he deals more dps on tanks and struggles at hordes so if it summons the place glads

If u want to do a challenge that u surely cannot what you want to do is use the commander lvl 2 skill where he shoots sometimes
Dare: use matchmaking until you find someone with a plush skin equipped any mode
you can win molten with only warden (pre-buff) and im pretty sure you can beat normal with only sniper
