I hope someone can remember this , I think 81 and 82 at shotover park, easter 2 day ??? ,dobbie was in cadets first year and couldn't stay on bike???, julian was in seniors on kx125 , superb track and meeting, it was like a gp meeting with all the professional teams there , so special
was there in 83, just started racing. Raced against James a few years later at Ashdown Woods as a senior or expert (can't remember!), still have a vivid memory of him skating past flat out on glassy wet chalk.... ;-)
tony benett is still around not riding but speak to him every now and then i to used to ride against dobb and mailin, prince some good riders in those days
I remember racing Dobb in the early 80's on 80's, the dude was quick. Anyone know whatever happened to his main rival back then, Tony Bennett ? Dragon schoolboys and Northwest schoolboys they would go at it hard, Dobb generally coming out on top.

Hes main rival was malin for sure , but no I can't remember about young tony , the best days of my life for sure
