How about 343 doing golden Moa plushies, that'd be neat.
Or maybe desklights of skulls you can pick up in the campaigns.
There are endless possibilities if you just think about it for a minute. But 343 is just like "Lmao, want some Master Chief socks?"
Or how about 343 starts making good videogames and stops retconning the lore?
Mega bloks needs to release more halo sets, not just vehicles and Spartans, but diorama settings and buildings.
Jazwares needs to get their action figure QC fixed pronto, every other figure I buy from them is broken out of the box.
Microsoft needs to make more halo themed XBOX merch. Not socks or plushies or lights. They need master chief and arbiter complimentary headsets and controllers and consoles.
There needs to be a professional high end cosplay company contracted by Microsoft to produce as armor that can be easily customized by the consumer.
Halo needs an animated TV show true to the original story to broaden the audience and make the general public outside gaming more aware of what halo actually is.
The problem with halo merch is they keep making products no one wants or needs, and those products only work as intended half the time.
Consumers get tired of wasting money on broken novelties they don't need in their life.
If 343 would put me in charge of the company, I could turn halo around. The management at 343 and Microsoft are idiots, and they contract all the wrong third parties.

“This is a spartan story.”
It feels like 343 sees the UNSC logo and thinks of it like Gryffindor or Avengers.
If there is one thing I hate the most about the MCU's rise to fame is how LITERALLY every Sci-Fi franchise (at least in the west) is trying to copy it now.
@@justsomehalofan4386 There's that, but it's also that the most watered down and thrown away versions of the characters to ever exist becomes the default in people's brains. Dormammu used to be pimp but the dr strange movie made him a joke and now that's just who dormammu is to everyone on earth
@@Countdownsmiles Anything that becomes mainstream is destined to become a joke. That's just the way it is and why I'm so bent on gatekeeping. The less people in a fandom, the more likeminded you are. People who aren't in the franchise but see it and go "Wow, cool robot man," completely miss what makes it special and just meme on it, like what Metal Gear Rising or Evangelion.
lmao true
@@physical_insanity Yeah gatekeeping in moderation needs to be a thing. This is why toxic fanbase is a thing, people are too scared to fully call them out on it.

The money would be blowing through the roof
Do that and they'll realize there are much better ways to earn money than shoddy microtransactions.

Ya know, I never realized there was much Halo merch simply because it was all Spartan this, Master Chief that.
Like fuck man, your Arma 3 Halo videos got me back into Halo and revitalized for the release of Infinite later that year, because I was tired of Spartans. I wanted more Marines and ODSTs, and OPTRE gave me exactly that. Give us ODST and/or Marine merch! We'd all pay good money for it!
I went through the store just now looking for an odst jumper/shirt and was sad I couldn't find one. Like they could literally just copy the design of the usmc and swap out the logo for the hell jumper logo
Eh, that's still just more dull military merch, I'd rather them release more stuff having to do with the alien element of the series.
@@frailvoid5844 That would be cool, but at this point I think we'd all take anything over more spartan shit
i think that's why the halo megablox are pretty good because they're actual physical items, and it's the closest we've gotten to an fps game being in lego, even if it's just off-brand lego.
As a lego fan/collector myself, I love alot of the halo megablox sets (alot of the older ones can get really pricey and some of them are harder to find than most hard-to-find lego sets). Megabloxs is easily the best competitor to Lego and I would argue that they are sometimes better than Lego. I presonally think that megablox captures the halo asethetic better than Lego probably could, especially considering Lego is alot more sensitive when it comes to war/gritty themed IPs.
I mean lego literally did do an FPS game cause they had a whole line of Overwatch sets, but I would agree it's the closest to a more serious FPS game there is
@@TacticalBaguette overwatch is more of a first person moba
@@TacticalBaguette lego tf2
I always disliked people calling mega off brand lego like you wouldnt call a soccer ball an off brand volleyball even though theyre both round and used for sports. If they used lego's designs then sure thats an off brand but all mega does is use a brick based system that lego itself stole
Something weird I've always thought: The weapon charms and emblems should be made into key-chains and pins, respectively. Buying them in real life should also get them in Halo Infinite.
There's no way I'm gonna spend five dollars on a Grunt that hangs on a pistol... Unless I ALSO got to have that Grunt on my key ring.
Now "that's" a microtransaction model I can get behind.
@@InnuendoXP
Put _ this beside _that's_ instead to make it italicized.
You just _blew_ my mind. Thanks!
_shat_
exactly! half of the charms they try to sell you could make great keychains for like 5$
One thing they should of done for the 20th anniversary is release an actual grunt plushy like the one they added to MCC around the same time, that would have been a great seller.
Having model ships in different sizes would be really cool as well. There could be the small display ones (kinda like the Normandy one from Mass Effect) and then the bigger ones you put together like model cars
Mega construx came out with a forward unto dawn for display
@@Dickmastersons
Yeah... the "new" Forward Unto Dawn, not the one from Halo 3. I still can't get over that design change. They never explained it.
@@CaseyCollier nah man, they came out with the halo 2 one, it had a miranda keys figure
You mean the H3 one (H2 didn't have the FuD).
Though Mega did put a nameplate with the name In Amber Glad in the set since it easier than creating an entire different Frigate model (Dawn is a Charon class = big hangar on the underside; The In Amber Clad is a Stalwart class = smaller hanger on the underside)
Eaglemoss models would be amazing.
The Pillar of Autumn, In Amber Clad, High Charity, Truth and Reconciliation, pelican, phantom, banshee, etc., etc.
They could even do a halo or the Ark or the Forerunner station from Halo 2.
as a sonic fan 90% of our content for the past decade has been merch😭
There's also something to be said about distribution. The figure line that came out before Halo Infinite was only partially released here in the UK and all subsequent waves have not dropped either.
Not only that there's a lot of quality control issues with the line. I got the spartan collection infinite chief and it was ok but the mk 5 b and halo 2 master chief were weird. I miss McFarlane toys, man
That's more a problem with the current state of Halo making it such a gamble for stores to support stock. A lot don't bother because the stuff will sit on shelves for months and not sell. Mega and Jazwares have no problem getting stuff like Pokemon or Fortnite onto store shelves because they're juggernauts in not just the gaming sphere, but pop culture as a whole. Halo's had an identity crisis for the last ten years and now it's struggling to stay relevant after Infinite's botched launch.
@@Sidewinder1996 joyride had some bangers too
The sad thing is if you use the wayback machine and see bungie’s original halo store, the merch there was incredible: the shirts I could actually see myself wearing, mugs and such I could see myself using, etc
The only physical Halo-themed merch I have is the color block hoodie (navy/grey) and the UNSC snapback (black/blue) because I could wear that in public. Anything else is meh. I like the needler shirt though.
I rather spend more money on Xbox themed gear like the water bottle (actually don't. It's just rebranded for double price) or the other nick nacks because they actually have _style_
I even got a grunt water bottle there
There even was halo 2 condoms haha
It would be cool if they'd sell mockup UNSC gear, backpacks, helmets, ballistic vests, fatigues and uniforms. Imagine a scorpion tank plushie, I need a scorpion tank plushie.
I still have a few of my Bungie shirts, seventh column, superintendent, and a master chief sweater, my superintendent shirt came with a sticker of the superintendent, I've got that still too lol
If you google the current 1/12 scale line of Jazzware Halo figures. "The Spartan Collection", one of the top searched results for google is the Arbiter figure, the only non Spartan figure released so far. For all the effort 343 went into lovingly remodeling their take on the Covenant for Infinite, with most designs(Elites especially) satisfying even the most difficult to please fans, they've done next to nothing to market or capitalize on this success of theirs.
A plushie of each Covenant member species please.
A plushie of everyone including the Green Man
I wish the grunt plush from the mcc back cosmetic was a real thing lol
It was for SDCC and it never came to actual stores
This rant actually ties in a lot with how I've been feeling about Halo lately...
for the longest time, way back when I first tried halo 2 I was consumed with beating it on legendary...
obviously like with many other people who had a crack at it, it came with heaps of sighs and frustration, but so many halo fans
saw it like that Sisyphian challenge that was extremely hard to overcome, but would give immense satisfaction when it was beaten.
I told to myself, "if I'd beat halo 2 legendary, I'd like to tattoo the legendary shield with elite skull and crossed blades on my arm"
fast forward to Halo, post 343i takeover...
after many years I finally beat Halo 2 Legendary, and I look at the state of Halo... at it's merchandise, and a wave of confusion wash over me followed by a blank stare.
I ask to myself "why do I feel so numb, so empty? I just beat that challenge that I've been busting my balls over for so long, why do I feel so indifferent now?"
And suddenly it clicked to me: Halo has lost it's identity after all these years when that quickly fading sense of accomplishment faded, it dawned on me there's
nothing left worth accomplishing. I already had beaten all the other halo games that I enjoyed, but with Halo 2 beaten on Legendary, there wasn't anything anymore to enjoy.
the new halo merch is exactly like LNG said. boring, bland, sanitized, and soulless corporate nothingness. nothing that evokes love for what made Halo so great.
even now when I try playing Halo Infinite with forge, I have a hard time to find enjoyment because none of my friends play it,
not even my closest neigbourhood friend whom got me back in Halo after I laid it down for over 5 years not playing seemed interested in getting back on Halo Infinite.
I used to have a Hoodie that looked like Captain America's Costume and it was really cool. I would love a hoodie that was styled after the different uniforms of the UNSC military like the Marines or ODSTs or the Naval Officers and Crewmen.
Holy fuck yes a hoodie styled after the UNSC crewmen from the first game.
Or a Keyes hoodie with the nametag on it and the medals printed.
Actually there is a Halo Infinite Hoodie in Navy Blue/Grey which has a military style to it. Funnily enough it is _not_ on the Xbox gear store but on the microsoft merch store :p
Runs under the name "Halo Infinite Colour Block Hoodie"
A hoodie of _Lord Hood's face._
@Shomba Sowab fuck yeah!
I have the 1:1 Needler replica and I would love to see more things like that.
They need to release 1:1 scale UNSC firearm toys. Saves me time getting them 3D printed.
Shell Ejecting whichever version of the shotgun that isn't the bulldog

Thank you for bringing this up. This has bothered me for awhile.
You and me both!
I think the mega construx sets have exactly what your looking for,
At least for displaying on shelves or hell even playing with, they have got a good spread of representation, covenant stuff, odst stuff, flood stuff, hell they even do niche stuff like including odst tarkov, A DUDE THAT WAS ONLY IN A TRAILER in a pack of odsts vs drones
if they were released properly AAaaV
If only it was easy to get Mega construx stuff in europe...
@@gietpudemee9155 Haven't see anything in the UK for years, makes me miss the old days.
To be fair it reflects the care and quality that has been given to Halo for the last decade.
Amen
Should be top comment.
yea i dont give a crap now about halo games so why would i buy the merch. the only interesting merch are the old ones based on the golden days of bungie halo
Another thing that was better about bungie era was that the merch was rare. I remember being a kid and being so excited when they had something remotely halo. Now I can find Halo something at almost any Walmart
Thank. You. There's a reason why the T-Shirts I did buy from the store have NOTHING to do with the UNSC. It's so boring having it all be 117 and a few covinenet things sprinkled in. It's like if StarWars only had Luke Skywalker merch and maybe a few stormtroopers, but that was it.
Remember the wild and varied designs Jinx gave us for apparel? We had grunt shirts, several Blue Team & Osiris shirts, Arbiter was on shirts, tons of Banished stuff, we even had shirts parodying cereal boxes with stuff like "Brute Loops" and "Covenant Crunch" as well as sweaters for the UNSC and Covenant that parodied sports teams. They were fun, varied, and covered a lot of areas of Halo. Now the most interesting stuff we get is holiday merch and that STILL puts all the focus on Chief. Where's my Santa Escharum or Atriox shirt?
i was literally stairing at my spartan while waiting for a match in Halo Infinite thinking "man i wish i could buy a statue of my character" when this video popped up, seriously, imagine if they opened a "Spartan Workshop" website where you could use to build your own custom spartan and order a little overpriced custom action figure based on it (if this already exist pls let me know)
That would be so cool. I am weirdly proud of how my Spartan in Halo Infinite Looks and I would gladly buy a little statue of her.
You could do this in Halo 5 i think. No idea if it's still a thing
Cool idea, but I’m sure it would be more than a “little” overpriced. But better than what it is now
I've had the idea of 3D printing and painting a statue of my MCC Reach spartan in my head for a while now, but I would definitely be on board with this as long as it isn't ridiculously overpriced
Yeah like hero forge but for spartans, I could see that
I'd love a halo version of that Mandalorian shirt with all the helmets lined up.
You could get different versions have one with all the chief variants, Blue team and other spartan II's, Noble team and Reach. ODST's and marines etc.
I would love for them to do a life sized grunt plushie😂
Five foot grunt who has the space
Also Mario has a lot less to market so the fact that they have more than just Mario is an achievement. Halo has such a big universe to create merch for.
Bro the depth and variety of Mario shit is only eclipsed by the depth and variety of Gundam and Pokemon Merch.
Tell me you've never played a Mario game without telling me you've never played a Mario game
@@jomama7933 Mario has way less lore and variety than the Halo universe has that is marketable, yet they manage to do way more. I’m praising Mario dumbass
Its because its in the "Minimalist Art Style" that alot of contracted designers use today to save money and time even on buildings which irks me to no end, its awful.
This usually works on bourgeoisie rich people but I cannot fathom how they think gamers would really love it.
As a person who got into halo mega construx I've been dealing with the opposite issue. They have been releasing cool sets like a halo reach falcon set (with all of noble team as figures), an odst figure pack (silenced smgs included) and a model of the halo 2 in amber clad set.
The issue is how inconsistent these sets are sold I've had to drive to a specific stores just to get them because they were the only one who had it in stock in my area and the sets were not listed on Amazon, or some sets like the halo reach falcon seem to be only sold nowadays by scalpers on ebay
Been collecting mega construx in the UK since 2014, and since 2018 all physical sales stopped except for a brief period in 2021, with online sales mostly drying up. I have to import and pay through the nose from either Amazon in America or buying directly from China
Right. Most of the merch lack novelty; they're just Halo-themed things. The closest the merch has come to novelty is in the toys: the foam dart guns and the little drivable cars.
Novelty makes the merch fun for not only Halo fans, but anyone. For example, take a lunch box: something plastic with a lid that can store some food and is portable. That lunch box could be sand-green with a gold trimmings and a white "117" decal on it. It's functional and themed around Master Chief, sure. I suppose to a Halo fan, it might be somewhat better than a standard lunch box. Or it can be the canister that housed Cortana from Halo Reach, and feature a cool way of opening it, maybe some lighting effects that illuminate its contents, and come with a strap or something that can allow it to be attached and removed from someone's lower back. It's functional still, but also somewhat of a toy, and a unique displayable accessory. Even if someone doesn't know the franchise it's from, they might still appreciated its novelty and intricate details.
Think of a fusion coil lamp line. That'd be dope, there could be the human, covenant, and possibly forerunner fusion coils.
Maybe one of those bendy desk lamps with Guilty Spark at the end? Would give another meaning to "don't shake the lightbulb"
I would buy a fusion coil lava lamp
I do wish they sold more than shirts, mugs, and then expensive stuff like a Halo keyboard and what have you. I was sad too when a lot of stores locally started to sell less Halo toys
I'm a massive fan of Gunpla, what I wouldn't give for a model kit themed off an Elite Zealot or Ultra in a similar size to 144 Scale Zeta Gundam, with rifle parts you can cut out of runners to help create your own Spartan when you add in a little flourish of paint.
Ideas are limitless, but not corporate imagination.
What like HG or RG
1/4 scale gun models are a thing. Why not a 1/4 scale Assault Rifle, Battle Rifle, or even a 1/4 scale Plasma Rifle or shock rifle? Would it be expensive? Yeah, but there are people who would pay or splurge on that if you LET THEM.
I'd buy a shirt with a grunt drinking some coffee
And the mug the grunt holds should have either an elite or master chief holding a mug.
@@Appoxo maybe master chief tea bagging a brute
Man that’s why I miss the McFarland toy series. I loved the detail put into each figure and the different equipment, weapons and special edition figures. My favorite part of my collection is a red mark v halo 3 figure. Those were the days.
They used to do that sort of stuff in around the release of halo 3, my favourite but of halo merch I've ever bought was belt buckle in the shape 4 shotgun shells nearly packed together with the happy lill hippo on them
As I listened to this I was scoffing, but then I turned to look at the only piece of Halo merch I own, the limited Nerf Needler, displayed proudly on my shelf.
I have to agree.
I actually have the Nerf Halo Assault Rifle, which seems impossible to find at a decent price nowadays. Should I still get the LMTD Needler? I mean, I think it actually looks cooler than the AR cuz...it's the Needler, duh. But I feel like it's a bit redundant, since I already own a Halo-branded toy gun. And especially with the LMTD Needler being over 100 bucks most of the time, do you think I should still consider getting it? I saw a review by Coop772 that laid out all the features and quirks of the weapon, but I'm still unsure. What do you think?
@@livirus3826 I had pre ordered a couple of them but canceled it cuz of money problems..it looks damn bright as hell and is a decent size I think, it would go nice with the old plasma rifle laser tag gun lol

I do hope that Nerf or another blaster-making company go and make more Halo-themed stuff in the future. Maybe a CE Magnum or a Battle Rifle. I'd buy them in a heartbeat, I don't care how expensive they would be XD
Wow! You talked about something I didn't even realize myself. I was setting up my Christmas wishlist and went to see if the Halo merch shop had anything cool and, just like you said, the only thing I was genuinely drawn to was the Halo CE shirt. It amazes me how lazy 343 is.
I actually want a backpack that looks like the thing grunts have on their back now.
Hear me out:
The prophets' chair as an office chair
a nigthlight wich is a plasma grenade
A desk lamp, wich is a covenant frigate, and the crystalization beam is the light
Even scale versions of UNSC/Covenant aircraft
(At this level, even the most cursed thing like an Arbyter's Dakimakura would work)
That reminds me of how with dragon ball they sell the freiza pod chair thing as a soft chair/cushion thing
Me and my Halo CE Heritage hoodie that I recently got signed when I met Steve and Jen: 🤭
343 and especially their marketing department are totally disconnected from their playerbase. They have no idea what the community wants because they ignore us.
Chrisraygun was wearing an odst beanie in one of his recent videos and I thought it looked really cool, like something you could see worn in universe. But when I looked it up it was an etsy store creation. Of course no disrespect to the maker it looked great but why isnt 343 making products like that ?
I got one of the halo pride shirts and the print is already rubbing off. The design was awesome but it’s pretty low quality
I want a real version of that grunt plushie they added to mcc!
I remember seeing the Entrenched jacket... and then seeing the price tag and being 'Why?' And then you look at the more affordable stuff and it's all Chief.
I don't know where I'm going with this.
I was subscribed to Halo Legendary Crate a few years ago and they sent out stuff like this! A blamite needle pen, frag grenade salt and pepper shakers, a plasma grenade ice mold, an Emile-themed flask. It shows that they definitely know this kind of merchandise is appealing, but for whatever reason they refuse to produce them for retail. It makes the whole situation even more annoying.
About maybe 15 years ago or so I got a dvd case that was the SPNKr missile case. That was pretty cool.
I would say a considerable amount of this has to do with the direction 343 had been led in recently. It’s all about that broader audience. Hopefully now with some of the new people in charge Halo that was on a different direction.
What broader audience though? Who is this supposed to appeal to?
@@InnuendoXP it was Bonnie Ross that wanted to do that but thankfully she is gone now so hopefully they can focus on the actual halo fans like infinite is getting way better all they needed was new leadership

A GRD helmet plushie like the secret ones on the Reach CE map remakes would go hard
An ex-friend of mine bought me a Master Chief mug. It was shaped like his helmet, and has this lip around the top of the head that makes it impossible to drink out of. It's so useless, I love it.
343 don't know how to monetize and market anything right.
just turning the fusion coil into a bag for pencils and stuff, I would have loved that in Highschool. or also, having it as a backpack, that would be so much fun, especially if it was a computer case.

I went to Halo Outpost discovery and I got myself a sweater that was really neat. Turtleneck zip up and it had a unsc embroidered symbol and halo Outpost discovery on the chest, it's probably my favorite piece of halo merch.
Granted, that needler nerf gun was really cool too and I want one so bad
This is something that I have always thought when it comes to merch in general, it's so much more interesting having something from that universe vs having some text or artwork printed on something.
Thanks for reminding me of the epoxy Energy Sword lamp idea I was eventually gonna work on
I got some UNSC mugs that my dad brought from his work. Something was going that day while he was at his workplace and they were handing stuff out to employees.
You have no idea how much I want a replica of the arbiters helmet
Mega Construx is a pretty much what your looking for. They have so many different Spartans you could probably make a near replica of your in game Spartan and repaint it with some acrylic paint if you want a specific colors. Also makes for some good photos
Mega Construx: Ight I'mma head out
Adding to the merch ideas, an led AI chip that's either a USB, necklace, nightlight, etc, that can also change colors to whatever you prefer. $50 and I'd throw down immediately.
A 1:1 scale for a floodling, elite skull, the legendary icon.
Open up communications with any scale model company like Bandai to create scale models of literally any vehicle or spartan.
2:09 just an inside, Halo's toyline that's called World of Halo by Jazwares (3.75" inch scale) is quite the success and it has way much for world building with sets, vehicles, figures from the old and new games, it's quite the hit among both fans and collectors, also the 6 inch line, the Spartan Collection, is starting to diversify the line introducing elite figures
It's almost as though Spartans are almost always the main characters and the most important main character's military ID designation is S117
Its almost as if the Halo universe is bigger than Green 117 storm trooper
1:11 I actually got that bag and although its not as good as the unsc rollover bag that came out a few years ago, its a solid cop. Theres 2 versions though, the more expensive one holds a bit more and designed a bit better. But I feel like it fits the simplistic style of a classic mjlonir armor set perfectly
My family and I always referred to Combat Evolved grunts curved packs as "shrimp-packs" on account of them looking like cocktail shrimp, especially the red ones
The only halo merch I have that isn't MC is 2 energy swords. One is a mini display and the other is the big lego one
I was gonna bring up Mega Construx before the other guy but my wifi was on the fritz
343 is literally obsessed with Spartans
I agree so wholeheartedly, as a lifetime halo fan in my twenties I want to get some stuff like an arbiter statue or something that shows the halo universe not chiefs number on random stuff
My halo merch consists of a Halo 2 Arbiter poster, a Halo 3 SPNKR missile case, a mega blox energy sword, and a little masterchief figure that came with those cool halo 3 xbox 360 controllers..
lowkey wanna buy that combat evolved shirt
the other day I realized that I'm more of a Combat evolved fan than I thought. It's just this cozy game to play on a thursday afternoon or something
This is the reason I've only ever collected the Mega Construx Halo stuff in terms of merch. They have a ton of variety and the little dioramas are really cool!
Dude I love Iron Man's MKV suit, where'd you get that shirt from?
"why nobody buys Halo merch"
everyone who buys Halo merch: and I took that personally
A see through bubble shield umbrella, that’s what I want
I totally agree with this. Though the camo HCS hoodie looks so good.

A halo 1 health pack pillow sounds awesome
Sadly 343 doesn't seem to notice that the primary alien antagonist faction is one of halos most interesting parts and merchandise potential (no matter of it being the Covenant, Banished or another faction consisting out of the Covenants core member species).
Some more abstract/lesser known UNSC or ONI merchandise would do well as well (perhaps an ODST jacked).
All they focus on is Spartans, which as a consequence have turned from legends to overabundance and a reason to roll your eyes and say "aaand another one"...
i'd love to get some of the charms they have in Infinite like the heath pack one but they arent sold anywhere
