Thank you for this series, i tried to play songs of syx and after a couple of failures, i stagnated and while people wasn't dying, i didn't knew how to grow. gonna learn with you!
started playing a couple of weeks ago, thought i was on v66 already, then the patch hits. it feels a bit harder and honestly im glad i learned on v65. I do like how it feels like you need to use your own army instead of mercenaries too.
Thanks for covering this game! when you get to importing and exporting, I'd really appreciate someone showing how it works now xD before i could move a slider to determine the amounts to export/import, but now the ui is all different and i dont see any way to manipulate the amounts
Everyone is very confused about that :D I THINK, you take your export stall, and you direct it to the warehouse its supposed to get the good from. The warehouse you select for the good has a by default bar set to "50%" which i think means they wont take more than the 50% goods from this warehouse. This slider would be your new "export" setting, but im not totally sure.
@@tulejumal This took me hours to find because there is no obvious button. Once you select the warehouse that warehouse becomes the button, but it defaults to everything. Normally I just want the overflow taken away so I set it to 80% or 90% depending on how much I store. Once that's done you need to check your minimum price is set correctly too. Normally 1 or 2 under the current price works in the early to mid game. You also need 1 export place per item type so you end up with Import/export row after a while. 😊 Still the money ticks up faster than you'd expect once you have it set correctly.
"Sterknatie" (Dutch) would directly translate to meaning "Strongnation" in English. Pronunciation of "Sterknatie" sounds a lot like saying "nazi" or "natzi" at the end, so probably shouldn't pronounce it correctly for monetization 😅
When it comes to starts i dont see the issue with adding in the missing resources you need to make a decent go of it. I think clay stone and coal are all fair game to add without making you OP eaely game.
So is it just completely impossible to play this game unless you have water to start with a fishery? The fact that humans start with grain and now hunters require furniture has made it literally impossible to play the fucking game unless you're on the coast/next to a river
Yeah, just don't take them all, and they come back fast. It takes very little meat to feed a village of 10. By then you should have established trade early and you can buy any missing food. Get fruit and vege farms going from day one and try to get to bread asap. Its very possible to do, though the best part of water is the high fertility of the land nearby. That's the thing you'd really miss.
When picking size for furniture in rooms, try holding ctrl and scroll, saves you the button mashing

@@tulejumal this is correct. you have an export warehouse now and you export a percentage of the selected goods by moving the new bar.

You actually left the events off --- they turn green when you turn them on.
Oof :p Thanks for pointing that out!
Hey hey people

I would say an early pasture could be another route since you start w/ livestock.
You can hunt without the hunter, you just deplete the supply of animals if you hunt them all. It's in the tutorial.
