    The memories I have of Aurora from I was a kid. I moved there in 1997 when I was 5 and then left in 2003 when I was 11. It was an experience that was good and bad. I have a photographic memory and remember every area.

      It’s really gorgeous hey! A lot of their towns in Ontario have an element of familiarity when I compare them to each other. I wonder if going to towns in other provinces would have the same feel, can’t wait to explore more and share with all of you 💙

    3:33 These houses were built around 1960. This was a major development area for Aurora. Prior to the homes in this area being built, Aurora's population remained the same for many decades. Then in the late 1950's, two major areas of the town were developed for residential homes. One was in the north (which are the homes in this part of the video) and the other area was in the south along Murray Drive (which you drove past in the video). These two areas made Aurora's population increase dramatically. After that, Aurora's population steadily grew.
    When I was a kid in Aurora in the early 1970's, the sign on Yonge St. welcoming you to Aurora read 13 500. When I go back for a visit, it's always amazes me how much the town has grown.

    Thank you so much for your content B. I am new to your channel and I wish I could move that side already. We are also considering it and you'll be our greatest inspiration. 💖💖💖
    May you please share, how the entertainment life or different types of excursions there are that side for young couples who are also a family.
    Secondly, my anxiety is moving there with our daughter (4 year old) before we are settled. May you kindly share how you navigated through that with your child the first time you moved. Did you move with your child from day one or did you have to subsequently fetch them?
    Also may you guys please considering us as your friends when we get there. 😂😂😂
    Thank you for being such a generous content producer.

      Thank you for the warm feedback Ayanda. My aim is to try show more of the life and things you can do in Canada with kids and as a family in general. There are a lot of activities but COVID has changed how we can be out in the world, things are starting to open up more so I'll be able to share more activities as we experience them.
      We moved with our kids, and it worked out well for us (my boys were 2 and 6 years old when we moved). If you haven't reached it yet, you'll find a two part video I shared on the channel talking about how we prepared our boys for the move and how they've been since we moved.
      I'll definitely be sharing more on our experiences in Canada which will hopefully help you make a more informed decision on your intended move.
      We look forward to one day welcoming you in Canada, you can consider yourselves with friends here already :)

    Hi Busi, is covid vaccine compulsory to relocate to Canada?
    Pls do a video on what Canada offers for ppl with special needs. My son is deaf, I would love to know more abt that.
    Tx so much for this channel, keep them coming. I am in jhb

    • @busi.global
      @busi.global  Před 3 lety

      Hi Thuli, I’m glad you’re finding value in the channel 💙
      I haven’t seen updates about vaccines being compulsory when it comes to relocation. I would think they’d keep people’s options open and accommodate those who aren’t vaccinated by having compulsory quarantine periods because not everyone who is eligible for the vaccine will be able to get it for different health risks potentially. Best place to keep checking for updates would be their website through canada.ca
      They have a lot of programs and facilities aimed at supporting children (and adults) with special needs. Check out this link to see what they have in the province of Ontario specifically for children: www.children.gov.on.ca/htdocs/english/specialneeds/index.aspx Canada is really inclusive and makes an effort to give extra support to those with special needs from what I’ve seen in the community I live in 💙 have a look at the info on the link, I think it will answer a lot of your questions. When Covid has settled a bit, I’ll see if I can show one of the facilities I’m aware of here in Oakville for people with special needs if I can record without compromising anyone’s privacy who uses the facility.

    Hi Busi, I’m wondering as black South Africans , how are you and the family coping with the weather . From what I have heard, their winter is unbearable even for Canadians, but then again people are still living there .

    • @busi.global
      @busi.global  Před 3 lety +2

      Hi Chris, for the winter, you need proper winter clothes like snow suits, snow boots etc. If you wear the right stuff you won’t feel the cold much when you’re outside. Then indoors the houses have really good central heating systems. I’ll definitely make a video about winter clothes.

    When I was kid I use to live in Aurora back in the 1980s.
    Do me was wilderness and in those days was not hardly any black people so we really stand out but later on other black people from the city of Toronto move in and the town people who when there get to know you are ok.
