The first time I played dark souls 1 I had in mind that "pyromancies are so broken" so I started as a pyro. Such a lie!
It isn't a lie, pyro is pretty good especially early on and it can get pretty broken (great combustion spam is just......cheeeeesssseeeee) , its also the best SL1 class since it isn't stat reliant
But yeah sorcery is just ultra broken
@@jalcace pyros r broken cuz they scale with th pyro glove lvl n not int+fth, wher u can put pyros in literally any build, even at sl1
60+ int builds r basically 1 shot everything
@@memeboicrep9502 Yeah I agree. There isn’t really a disadvantage to starting pyro. You can still pump strength (or dex if you swing that way) and then use the souls on the glove when you feel like it without compromising your regular build

@@bl00by_ there are plenty of fire resistant enemies in ds3, that vestiges are useless on
@@Godskineater There aren't that many. Most bosses in the game get annihilated by them. The only ones I can think of are the demons, Yhorm (obviously) and midir.
@@bl00by_ earliest you can get them is off the old demon king, however In NG+ they are very weak against him. So old demon king, dark eater, gael has high fire resistance, yhorm, demon in pain and below, nameless king has too large of a healthbar to utilize them considering mana consumption, lf l recall correctly Oceiros ls Fairly fire resistant, so thats 7 of the 22 bosses of the game that are very resistant to the spell. Still leaves plenty, sure, but that doesnt include the enemies and areas that are resistant to flame as well

Seeing this reminds me of how they completely nerfed faith in DS 2 and all subsequent games, because it was too strong. Just due to a single lightning bolt. Yet they kept dark and sorcery fully intact. Great balancing.
Seeing this makes me think happily about my ridiculous DEX/INT DS1 build. Used to equip load tumble buff a gold tracer with DMB so if Dark Bead or CSM didn’t end you, 2 R1s would. 😂

Not much honestly great soul arrow hits hard and shoots fast low dex and you get 20 casts run the red tear stone ring at low hp bellowing dragoncrest ring and the crown of dust, bam OP even without dex, or int, if you add just a little of both or simply get 40 int then you’ll see what that really does lol 99 is simply overkill
NG+ in dark souls 1 is like a 20 minute endeavor lol

You can do way more damage with manus catalyst and power within just saying... I could 1 shot any enemy
Tin catalyst is the same as manus catalyst and he uses power within later on.
@@epicalfailure83 manus scales with strength as well so it's superior provided you have stats in both attributes

@@erich1380 Using glitches to get to places early like sen's skip and using soul dupes to have 99 int... Not a mod, I play on console
