Buddy needs to smile a little bit, this wasn't exactly motivating lol. Very robotic personality. Every officer to some degree should be personable in order to better connect with the public at large and any potential future recruits. It's good to be about business but it's also good to be about making it a welcoming experience that will be one to work hard through but know you have a support system as well.

I know it's a live in academy, but do you get to go home at all during your training?
@@erikarroyo2856 yes the academy is a 5 day training monday through friday you are allowed to go back home on the weekends at your own expense
I asked a recruiter and they said they had officers that came from different agencies but most of the time no
It’s possible but in order to join the CHP you have to go through their academy
