G'day from Australia. I followed your advice for fixing the gearbox. However, instead of using 3 screws to fix the clutch and 2nd gear together, I just used a product called sikaflex 227. It's a body sealant that can glue plastic and metal. I applied it to all the parts on that one shaft, glued them solid.
Got mine running after prolly about 15years…had to replace all the batteries, one way bearing and thoroughly clean the carb as it was gunked up pretty good and fuel would not flow. It was really tough to start but it did and once tuned im very happy to be enjoying it again…runs real mean🦾🦾🦾
you are missing the other piece of the motor mount that acts like a torque arm to the rear bulkhead. will probably work more than fine. but might lead to a motor mount failure. cheap part, that will bolt right in with what you got. cool build. im on my third revo electric conversion.\
Hell yeah! Been looking forward to this video for over 6 years. Just came across it. Thanks! Hopefully, I can PM you for parts selection/information? *Subbed! At 4:14 I only drilled 2 holes. One on each opposite side in trying to keep it balanced as much as possible.
I can't find an Integy motor mount ANYWHERE. Or the pinion gear and adaptor. Suggestions? I'm all about DIY. Just going out and buying an electric when you have the Nitro right there in front of you, takes all the fun out of it.
@@rcbuster4171 Just left email but not sure if it went through. Would using the same servos from the stock revo work or did you change them because you are partial the brand you used or are they geared differently?
awesome! i am starting my conversion soon, just got a motor. great video Man! how much for you to make me battery holder/mount and other printed cases for my truck?
Nice build!! I have been wanting to do this to my Revo for a long time but i can't find the motor mount in stock anywhere. Do you know a place that still has them in stock and are willing to send it to Europe? Would be a great help if you do.
@@rcbuster4171 when I was browsing I didn’t see the 2.5 frame option. I use to own both trucks and I swear the 3.3 just had an additional bar to support the motor on the extended frame
Nice work! Do you have any idea if it is the same chassis as a Slayer Pro 4WD? I'm having a hard time figuring out which engine and equipment I might need for my Slayer
It should I own a eslayer and a revo. The motors mount in the same spot on both chassis. The trans mounts in the same spot. There is no reason it shouldn’t
That’s 3S Lipo? Hmm. I’m currently doing a conversion on my Revo 3.3, but what do you think? Should go 4S for 3S? But OK, I see where you said you started off with a 13 tooth pinion gear and eventually went up to a 15 tooth so did you change your Spur gear at all or whatever you did, what tooth spur are you using?
Currently I am still running the stock spur off the transmission. If able I would definitely recommend 4s and it is a bit slower than before but by far more reliable
@@rcbuster4171 I don’t know what all you’ve done as far as upgrades but being that I’ve read a lot about how a lot of the Revo 3.3 drivetrain really isn’t built all that strong so I’m going to upgrade the front and rear differential to an aluminum differential housing along with the upgraded machined steel…..not cast ring gears and pinion gears along with an aluminum differential cup that houses the spider gears and I also plan to upgrade the gears inside my transmission to those metal ones from Robinson racing. Not too sure yet if I’ll end up switching to metal drive shafts and axle shafts or not.
That’s really cool, but I think with the money spent I’d rather sell my nitro and get an erevo second hand but erevo’s are not really the same as the revo
I did it this to a 3.3 maxx and sadly it sucked transmission always gave me problems, maybe on a mild 3s system it would be over but 4-5-6s no way, transmission was always out of the truck
I don’t know what the difference is between the nitro T max and the Revo 3.3 but what kind of problems where you having with your transmission? I’m currently in the long process of converting my 3.3 Revo to 4S Lipo and hopefully the only structural upgrades I would have to do is probably upgrade the front and rear differential ring and pinion gear to the machined steel versions and possibly upgrade the gears in my transmission to steel. I might even have to upgrade to steel drive shafts and axle shafts but I haven’t gotten that far yet.

Nice job, I was going to do the same, but I got the 8 year old revo 3.3 running after 8 years untouched!

What was the total cost? It's cheaper than selling the Nitro and buying a electric?
Great video. You did an amazing job. Would it be possible to get the stl files to print the battery box etc. Thank you.

What a great video. I was nervous locking the transmission until watching this video. Can you share the printable files for the tray and esc holder ?
I can. If you can leave an email adress I can email the stl over to you

Can You pass the mesures to those yellow 3d
Will this process work on the Platinum version?
I was looking at this motor mount and I’m curious if it would fit on a 2.5 revo frame too. Looking to bring life back to the old girl after 15 years
It’s might fit. I know they had motor options for both. I think it would work
@@rcbuster4171 when I was browsing I didn’t see the 2.5 frame option. I use to own both trucks and I swear the 3.3 just had an additional bar to support the motor on the extended frame
There was an extra bar. It was not used with the motor mount. The mount is fairly cheap. Definitely worth the try
Same here!
Do you have the stl files available for those 3d printed parts?
What arms are you using front and rear?
where from can i get this converting kit..?
Awesome build bro.. how can I get in contact with you?? I would like the 3d files if you are willing to help me out that would be awesome bro
What size and kv motor are you running? Seems to work real good on 3s.
did you combine both servo wires in to 1? i need same conversion i am confuse how to use 2 servo on 1 channel
Just buy a Y harness. Amzon has them for under $10 bucks for a pack.they even have 3into1, which is great for connecting lights to power
nice. whered you buy your chevy body
I'm a little late to the party. You still willing to share those STLs?
What would it take for you to 3d print thos 3 items for my 3.3 I'm converting I dont have access to 3d printer
I could print them and mail them as long as you can pay for plastic and shipping expense
@@rcbuster4171 lmk a price
Hello friend, your Revo is very beautiful, I would like to know if you can provide the 3D printing project for the battery box and the receiver box
If you can leave an email adress I can email them over to you
My biggest problem is my slipper clutch coming loose whenever I hit reverse.
Hi, Nice project ! Do you sell the STL files from battery, receiver and ESC?
I don’t sell them but I can email them to you👍🏻
Nice work!

By chance what tooth pinion gear you suggest to be paired with a 38 tooth steel spur gear ? I’m building similar project 😎
I noted what I swapped it over to in the video I believe during the test run. It is about the largest you can run with the motor mount

what amp esc you running?

Integy. Not integrity. Not Infinity. How tf do you call it 2 different names in the same video and they're both wrong
Do you have the files to print the parts you made?
I do. I can share the stl to you if you leave an email adress
how much to convert mine?
With all the parts I used ended up being somewhere around 200
Can you please email me the 3D stl files?
Can you link your email?
INTEGY not Integrity.
So you took a perfectly good nitro and ruined it
Now it's reliable and can be driven, not wrenched on constantly.

Yes. If you leave an email I can email the over
