  • This time, I will introduce the unknown history of Kiyomizu-dera. Kiyomizu-dera Temple, which is registered as a World Heritage Site, is one of the most popular tourist attractions in gorgeous Kyoto, where many tourists visit regardless of the season. However, during the Edo period, it was popular to jump down from the stage of Kiyomizu to pray, and during the Heian period, it was part of Toribeno, a burial ground. We will introduce the history of Kiyomizu-dera, which cannot be imagined today, while touching on nearby Rokuharamitsu-ji and Rokudochinno-ji.
