I get your point but not sure as a mid engine Corvette and Model Y driver I agree. When I floor that Chevy and you hear that engine roar it will scare you and is even faster to 60 and beyond than the Tesla y

It's definitely a game changer. I don't think I could go back to driving an ICE vehicle, nor could I live without autopilot on those long 4-5hr vegas drives. It sounds somewhat silly, but man does it really ease up the fatigue on those longer drives. Just drinking some water, or reaching in the center console for snacks becomes significantly easier, and far more safe.

Thank you! And the center screen is a non-issue. Your eyes are drawn to the open space in front of you and from time to time you glance to the side to look at the screen. It has become the new normal for us. Zero regrets

We’ve had our model y for about a year now. While I love my high hp German cars (as you do) the model y is a nice second car to have around. Hope you’re going to put a Tesla charger in your garage at home. Totally love not having to ever think about stopping for gas
What got me the most is the quick steering. Now my cayman s feels like it’s got the slowest steering rack ever

@@TommyLGarage Correct, there is no tax incentive for Tesla.... yet. No guarantee there will be, but there is still a chance. A 2022 delivered vehicle has many times more chance of being eligible than a 2021 delivered vehicle.

@@TommyLGarage bummer. Elon tweeted that they are making v11 UI changes presumably from feedback. Hopefully, they get these things sorted out in a reiterative process. All the previous UIs have been improved from their original release. I drive an older X so my interface is different. This was the 1st video of yours that I've seen (redirect from insideevs). Cheers!

Took delivery last week of Model Y Performance... USBc ports were missing in front console also a the 220 plug was missing in the charging bag.

I traded in my 2017 Gt 350 for the y performance . Took delivery June 5 2021, absolutely no regrets! Have saved 2715 dollars with 11700 miles on the y performance compared to my Gt 350 which averaged 14 to 15 miles per mile at about 3.50/ gallon. Much faster and more fun! Enjoy 😊

This reminded me of my experience when I surprised by wife with a red model 3, I told her we were going for a test drive and when she came saw the car, sat in it, I asked her to come out so that I can take a picture (while I was shooting a video), the guy came and said congratulations on your new car.! Her expression was speechless

Thank you. I actually upgraded the tires for a slightly thicker sidewall. I’ve been running the same size tires on my Volvo with zero issues over the last three years.
Congrats on the car - personally I would have got X3M or X3 M40i for family car which is what I did for the same price as Model Y. There will be plenty of time to drive EVs.
