I really could care less how many people use it. The fact of the matter is that bad to decent singers use it. You can turn a bad singer into a good singer with good use of auto tune. You're naive to think otherwise. And how do you know he has a great voice without it? He is using auto tune in this very video and I can bet he uses it in every single other recorded or live performance. It is so obvious when singers are using it because there is nothing natural about it.
i’m not quite sure you fully understand autotune then. all autotune really does is fix small fluctuations in one’s voice by guessing the nearest semitone. if a singer has no sense of what notes they are trying to sing and generally just has a bad voice, autotune has to work a lot harder to correct for that lack of knowledge/talent, and will ultimately make the voice sound very artificial and electronic, like something you might hear from kanye or travis scott or even another bh song where someone else is singing and the effect is very obviously being applied. this is not the case for bearface songs; though he does use it (like most singers), it’s pretty clear it’s not doing the work for him. he sounds pretty close to the record, whereas if you were to go watch performances from other artists that rely very heavily on autotune for their studio product, you would most likely notice they can’t match that vocal quality in a live setting, even with an autotuned mic setup. not saying he’s the got the best or most unique voice, but he’s definitely at least a decent vocalist.
