The brain child of Central Victoria’s annual custom car and bike show Chopped, and builder of Hard Metal, his latest project is an overzealous tribute to the HDT Marlboro race team - a HZ Holden Panel van carrying a blown Chev big block 454. It’s Mad Max meets Ryan Ford.

You're old man looked after 'Custom Vans & Trucks Magazine? WoW man, when i was 10 or 11 years old, i sketched a tuff XC panelvan ,Freehand of course, and sent the drawing in to Custom Vans & Trucks magazine, & probably your old man or the editor ,published my drawing in the magazine, and sent me a free issue of the next month magazine with my drawing in it. I was so stoked. Now im 45, and im still a car freek,still getting grease and bog dust under the nails,and i still have that magazine somewhere, from 1985 or 86.You're old man is cool, and i say thanx to him for making my day as a young kid.

@@jaiwilliams9753 Well im in my 40's now, so ive owned over 50 cars. Ive had some beasts. I wish i kept alot of them!! Currently i have a BF Cobra ute, and im working on my street machine project custom XF/LTD ute with 351W efi conversion. Its coming along pretty nicely.

Went visit my buddy from school 30 yrs ago at his property at wondoan, qld. He had 2 sandman panel vans sitting in his shed covered in dust. He visited me 2 yrs ago. I asked about his panel vans. Won't sell, reckons his gonna do them up one day. 🤣👍

My first car was a 72 Belmont Panelvan. I loved that girl.

Lovely van mate. Your Dad is a legend mate and I never miss getting a copy of Restored Cars. I even got the chance to buy some old copies of Custom Vans and Trucks magazine that featured the introduction of the Valiant Drifter van. Chrysler Australia actually invited vanners and the press to their assembly plant to talk about a future Valiant panel van......the Drifter, the Sports pack and the base model. Eddie Ford was there too apparently. If memory serves me correctly he mentioned that at the time Chrysler Australia had new managing directors sent out to Australia frequently to try and turn around their profit slide. No consistency with that sort of approach obviously and the end result followed. Good to see you are carrying on the tradition mate, all power to you and your future endeavours. Oh good to see the Marlboro decals on the van too. I love in your face things that can upset politically correct idiots. Cheers for the post mate, loved it. Cheers mate.
