The male defendant is a SUPER CREEP to even suggest this scenario. I’d say I can’t believe his girlfriend went along with it, but he seems to be very controlling. (He held her hand tightly during the trial and wouldn’t let it go. Weird.)

1989 I paid $650 a month for a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom...Townhome. Oh and a pool. And being on the top floor I had a lovely vaulted ceiling.1992 I was paying $900 for the same layout but in an even nicer area...both were in good areas in California but the second was near a winery...beautiful views! It breaks my heart to see people (of all ages) having to live in a bedroom for exorbitant amounts of money. The gap between rich and poor is getting wider. I know that was a long time ago but rent and house prices are out of control no matter how you look at it.

Some in my area have signs on their front doors stating that all prices are 50 cents to 1 dollar higher than menu prices. They're giving up on keeping up with the pace of inflation on printed menus lol...first time I've ever seen this happen.

In New York, $900 a month will get you a small room in someone else's house. In many other states, it will get you an entire house of your own!

He tried to take advantage of a young naive girl. If she was going to sleep on a blow up mattress then it could have been placed in the living room, empty room, or even the kitchen not their bedroom.
