yeah it already existed; however, very few music videos were uploaded that time and for K-pop mv's, perhaps, they were not yet uploaded then..
SM had a yt channel with MVs but they deleted it in 2009 and created a new channel (their current channel). They re-uploaded the older MVs to this channel between 2009 and 2011.
