Thanks for watching the video and commenting! Given the size of something like the R11 meta and the fact that all the drivers are located towards one side of the speaker, the resulting sound would be very one sided and not ideal as a centre channel. With the exception of the R2 and R6 (which are intended to be used as centres) all models in the series are all sold as pairs, which would also mean that you have a spare speaker left over should you decide to use an R11 for a centre channel. With that said, the amazing directivity of KEF's Uni-Q driver actually means any speaker in the R Meta Series could be used as centre channel speakers in theory. But I would stick to the R2 Meta and R6 Meta where possible. I hope that helps!
What technological advancement with the new KEF R Meta series are you most impressed by? Let us know!
Thank you for sharing this!
Glad to hear you liked the video!
I have the R7 meta's, the sound is amazing!
Do they feel like they have punch? Or do they feel more sterile?
I have the old r3 and r3 meta and they are very similar.
Both great but I wouldn't rush out to get the meta.
Can the R11 be used as a center speaker horizontally?
