I get my shitzu (dele) in 12 weeks so I have been binge watching all shitzu grooming and tip videos. This one by fat is the best.
I am so excited for you!! You must be dying of anticipation rn. My neighbor actually just got Suki's little brother (from a different litter but same parents) and it really took me back to when she was a tiny baby. Glad you found the video helpful

She was 2yrs old a couple of weeks ago & I wouldn’t be without her ☺️🐾
Got my demon doggo about in mid March, he was 10 wks old at the time. My dad who said he'll never be around a doggo now has a favorite son 😤
It's always the Dads who say they never want the pets who bond the most with them haha. Sounds like your dog is close in age to SUKI!!

We have a cat that looks exactly like yours, bringing home an 8 week old shih tzu puppy soon. I would love to hear how it went with the cat meeting the puppy. Did you introduce them some special way? Does the puppy back off when the cat wants to be left alone? The thing I'm most nervous about is new puppy meets old cat.

The cat is actually my roommates! I don't personally own any cats. Unfortunately they don't love hanging out with suki, she's too energetic for them. Whenever she is out at the same time as the cat they just climb to a higher surface and stay out of her way. I think with all things it takes time and patience. I would just keep an eye on the two whenever they are interacting and try to introduce them slowly. SO excited that you are getting a little puppy and hoping your pets all get along

How do you keep her face and feet from turning yellow? She's beautiful. I'm getting mine FRIDAY! She has same markings. Yay!!!
AHH that’s so exciting!!! I don’t really have the most knowledge about those two, however I think with feet you could just try to wipe her paws whenever they come inside and give her baths every few weeks. For eyes I think there are specific eye wipes and also drops and powders. I can’t recall the exact brand but there is an eye powder on Amazon that can be used after wiping away the eye gunk that can help keep their eye area dry and keep it from getting dirty. I’m about to try it for my puppy! Also just wiping their face and getting them routine trims when they are older will most likely help a lot too.
Thanks for replying. Mine looks almost identical to your baby. When I got her her front feet and white beard are stained. I'm guessing her face wasn't cleaned after eating. Maybe do a grooming update if you find some great products! Thanks and Suki is gorgeous! 😍

How much did she cost? At my place the prices of dogs all seem really high :(
Hmm, honestly I forget now that it's been a while but I think she was around 1200. I think Shih tzu's in general are typically pricer. I did try to look at specific shih tzu rescues as well, but most of the dogs in my area needed a lot of special attention and care that my current situation wouldn't have allowed for. In general, I think looking at shelters if you don't care for a specific breed is one of the best options. The shelter in my city often has free adoption days as well!
