no hate towards her, i think she actually seems really sweet, HOWEVER people criticizing her Forbes thing aren't necessarily getting at her, just the term ''self-made''. she's 21 years old and has already found her passion in life and turned it into a successful business - that's AMAZING. but she wouldn't have been able to do so had she not have the platform she did.
I get what you are saying, but if you had that same platform, would you be able to get where she is? The amazing thing about her is that she found a way to use her familys fame instead of being like some of her sisters. Fx Khloe and Kourtney are of course famous but they havent made a succesfull buisness.

If any of us lower/middle class were to start a modelling career or break into any of these industries, we would start from the bottom. Kylie had connections etc and that's how she got to where she is so quickly. Having links to give you an advantage is not self-made. That's the issue we're trying to tackle

Her life was shown through a camera, an invasion of privacy, disrupted her life in general to earn money. Even rich people, they have their own bills to pay and they have to pay an equal amount of proportion of their money. There are a lot of things that we don’t know going on in their lives. It was very kind of her.

Kylie Jenner is only smart in a way that she created the idea of the lip kit with Kris and took advantage of her huge popularity. Every other marketing aspect is from her marketing team. I feel the reason she’s more popular than the rest of the kardashians is because she took a relatable insecurity into a billion dollar ecommerce business. That vulnerable part was something authentic and that really resonated to her young teen audience and it makes them feel closer with her. She also has an attractive appeal that young girls want to be her.
I feel for the smile program on a personal level, I was born with a clef lip and to see a celebrity promoting themselves helping and bringing awareness makes my heart swell
