Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown is an upcoming open-world racing game. It’s the third game in the franchise’s Unlimited reboot, following 2011’s Test Drive Unlimited, and the twenty-first game in the Test Drive series1. The game is being developed by KT Racing and published by Nacon12.
The game is set to redefine what an open-world racing game can be. It offers a lifestyle and social experience, allowing players to live the ultimate life of luxury3. The game is set in Hong Kong, a city with many faces, chosen to host the next competition4. As both an urban jungle and natural jungle, Hong Kong provides the ideal playground to settle the disputes between the Sharps and the Streets4.
The game features two clans: the Sharps and the Streets4. The Sharps consider themselves an elite class and are characterised by a distinct love of sophistication and classic luxury. On the other hand, the Streets do not want to blend in with the crowd and are certainly not shy about proving it4. For them, success is synonymous with making an impression and going against the grain.
The game is all about a love of cars, especially luxury cars4. Your garage will be home to Lamborghini, Aston Martin, Audi, Mercedes, BMW, Ferrari, Porsche, Range Rover, Koenigsegg, Apollo, Bugatti and many others4. However, you’ll need to demonstrate your commitment to the Solar Crown and the clan you represent to gain access to all these exclusive models4.
The Solar Hotel is the main competition area and also where the players live, like their very own HQ. Built by the organisers of the Solar Crown, this enormous tower houses a huge luxury hotel complex. Its interior design is a perfect blend of technology and the finest materials4.

I mean that’s what happens when you compare a game released in 2021 to a game released in 2024. Fh5 is already 3 years old, fh6 was supposed to come out this year but I have no clue why it wasn’t announced.

Forza Horizon sounds haven’t been good since Forza Horizon 2 it’s honestly because they just have too many cars in the game they’ve chose quantity over quality nowadays

@@MiniOne82Ohh makes sense no wonder why the sounds have drastically improved in Gran Turismo over the years and Forza Horizon sounds have declined. I swear it’s a skill and gift to be able to translate sounds that are accurate and pleasing to hear through a video game.
The person or people making the game’s sounds have to have a great skill set with sound production so it can sound pleasing to hear in game as well. Because it’s one thing to get the accurate sound in the game. You also have to make sure it sounds good in game does it need more bass or volume?
You need a person or people that are great in music production. A good music producer can make a terrible produced song. Sound like a hit song when he’s finished editing, mixing and mastering it from recording in a trash can to a number 1 hit song. Whoever their sound producers are they’re very talented.
You should’ve left all the cars stock, putting a turbo on the mustang and 370z is distracting when you are comparing to stock real cars..

@@huntaaa4 He did, stock cars that are supercharged/normally aspirated do not have turbo sounds/boost gauge in the HUD. He just didnt take out the upgrades for some reason

It’s a old demo build I have to wait until full release to give my real thoughts but right now it’s exactly what you said a beautiful mess. We see the vision this small developer is trying to achieve being underdogs in this industry.
The potential is massive for this game it just needs some tweaks and they need to keep listening to their community. Right now though this demo is like vanilla ice cream mixed with hot fudge brownies. It’s a guilty pleasure I need more of this game. 😎😂

The shifting may be robotic (Gran Turismo-style) and the post-processing too clinical compared to the slightly overdriven exhaust sounds Forza and NFS use, but the synths they're using are some of the most accurate I've ever heard in a game
The backfire is the only part I feel weird about, but it collectively sounds better than FH5

I'm sad that my PC can hardly play TDU so I'm not sure if I am going to buy it. I'm not sure how much they are going to optimize it but I can only get like 17-35 FPS on low graphics, while in Forza Horizon 5, I can get a steady 60 FPS on near max graphics and a steady 75FPS on Forza Horizon 4 max graphics...
I love tdu's sounds but i dont like when games overlook the sound between shifting like the ttrs or an m5 f90 and so on

TDU sounds great, Forzas exhausts sound unresonated in comparison. I don't like how fast the gear changes are on manual cars like the E type Jag though on TDU. It looks to drive as if it has a DCT, there should be a .75ish second pause during changes atleast! Old TDU had a vast timing difference between modern auto transmissions and older manuals. Made the cars feel much better

I remember when forza devs were so proud that they reworked the sounds for fh5 (since fh4 had beyond terrible sounds) and i never liked fh5 sounds. now it's so evident why i never liked them. forza is just terrible in so many ways. good video!
370z on fh5 and other cars sound better and just the graphics overall on the game is amazing but test drive unlimited is hella close to fh5 cant lie and btw i play on both xboxss and ps5
I had a Maserati GranTurismo for two years and in FH5 the exhaust sound is way off. Other vehicles I can't tell Since I don't own it.

Thankfully, PGG is going to be using the updated ForzaTech engine when they make FH6 so hopefully alot of the sound issues in FH5 are easier to fix.

@AkiRalcolf Well it's what the Forza Motorsport engine is. They're the exact same engine for the most part besides FM2023 having the newer, "upgraded" version where it properly supports RT, possibly Direct Storage, and other features as it DOES get rid of the slow archaic XBOne/One S/One X.

Playground games use a different why of recording cars, they record the sound while the cars being driven freely on a run way, were as TDU devs set the cars up in a closed room on a dyno/roller. thats why he sounds are different.

Lo mas preocupante no es que haya gente haciendo videos intentando difamar a forza sino q hay gente que comenta que es cierto sin saber que en forza los vehiculos cambian su sonido acorde a las piezas colocadas, y no es solo un sonido predeterminad, de todos los mostrados tdu sc no suena ni similar al real XD.
Por ej el 1er audi tenia el arbol de levas modificado por eso sonaba mas agudo en forza, osea llegaba a revoluciones mas altas.
Aca no es un tema de fans de un juego u otro sino q este falso feedback va a hacer que la gente a cargo de test drive no mejore para su version final creyendo en los comentarios llenos de ignorancia

In fact, almost no one drives those cars in real life ( I mean all of them ). I've tryed Mustang GT in real life multiple times and it sounds great in TDU, similar to my experience.
Games are just artistic representations of real life. It can get close, but not 100% accurate.

@@jira9286 tá muito enganado , vc jogou ? eu sim joguei e tenho aqui forza horizon 5 instalado, e posso garantir que em grafico o test drive e forza sao equivalentes, algumas coisas o forza ta mais bonito outras o test drive, bom se o seu pc nao teve capacidade de rodar no maximo, ai logicamente que vc esta falando que o jogo tem grafico ruim , agora aqui no meu pc, ate os velocimentros tinha reflexos, o jogo ta bonito, eu arrisco dizer que o grafico esta melhor que do forza, mas é opiniao minha pq o grafico do forza é bom.

I do not agree. I've playing NFS Unb from premiere and a FH5 and I can say, that TDU SC have great driving expirence as for Simcade. It just gives bad impression on gameplay, because of camera work and not good cocpits with 45 degree wheel rotation.
