CIA security contractor?✔️
Trained Keanu Reeves for John Wick to be even more of a bad ass?✔️
Reminds you of Dirty Harry 2.0 with his Sahara Desert bone dry sarcasm?✔️
This episode I sit down with Shawn Ryan of Vigilance Elite to discuss all things bad ass. No feelings spared here (are you surprised at this point?) and lots of good info and stories shared in true Mike Drop fashion.

Shawn Ryan is a real down to Earth dude, but don’t trip...a fully legitimate bad-ass he is, and one of the most lethal men you will ever meet.
Check out vigilance elite. Incase you don’t know.
He is awesome ai! From Australia
Thank you 🙏🏻
@@ShawnRyanShow Thank you for serving out great Country. We owe you a debt of gratitude while we all try to figure out how to really show out appreciation for you and the other Men and Women (sorry folks, that’s all God created) who put on the Uniform. God Bless.
This was my 1st Mike Drop. I wanted to hear Shawn in depth. I really enjoyed the absolute zero bullshit from both of you. Thanks for sharing & for your Service.
As a truck driver I enjoy listening the podcast as I’m driving down the road lol 😂
Thanks to all the military people for their service
Hey, u truckn guys are the heroes now... Covid19 BS... Good on u fellas
Walkin tall in the left hand lane, driver.
NIGHTRIDER TRUCKER thanks for all you do as well especially right now, people don’t realize the shelves would be empty without men/women like yourselves. Me, I’m just a lonely yard shifter and too thankful for the podcast.
@@benyoung552 yep always have been too, without them shelves in every major department store especially food and bottled water are empty within 96 hours!!
Me too. You should check out Shawn Ryan's interview with Ed Calderon. It's a good one.
Two men that have given more to this country than can every be repaid. Thanks for a great episode and thanks for putting your asses on the line for this nation.

I’m happy Shawn seems much happier now days ‘23 compared to pre-psychedelics.
I love how Shawn drops bombs. He’s a no BS kinda guy.
Good to see a couple of Iowa boys doing as much for our country as you guys are. Thank you both from omaha, Nebraska🇺🇸
I've watched so many SRS episodes I had to find an interview of him, and who better than Mike Ritland, 2 crazy cool dudes. Im a trucker, never been in the military, but thank you for your service Shawn and Mike and all other service men. We appreciate you ❤
Looking for the same thibg
This is the absolute best Shawn Ryan interview I’ve ever heard. Very personable. Very relatable.
This was an awesome podcast. Mike did a phenomenal job.

'relatable' sure man sure
Yea dudes like this should be running the country instead of shitbird politicians
You know…
He is so humble on his own whatever cast.
It’s actually interesting watching…..
these guys are parallel.
Tit for tat.
I like that.
Fun fact- Only because I’ve seen it a few times now, although joking about it, no stories or content was edited out. That blip you see in the beginning is due to working with a new video editor and trying to sync up audio / video. Working out the kinks.
Cool story bro !!! 😂😂 Keep workin on the kinks brother awesome stuff as usual fuck who noticed that kink an thinks u edited something out
Mike I dont know how far you are from Waco but if you like law enforcement history the Texas rangers hall of fame ( not the baseball ramgers) the real rangers is in Waco and it's pretty bad ass they have a bunch of confiscated guns that are hard to put into words

@@elmatador6589 wtf are you talking about lmfao
@@markhc4581 Exactly. Him and Rut both. Near Deerfield Beach. Right? Nice. Right on the Intercoastal. Remember that dude who bought a tank in Iraq from eBay and he got it home and discovered the fuel tanks full of gold? That's how Navy Seals get their loot back home....
Shawn paid cash for his water front mansion. Nice, huh?
These guys are as scumie as it gets. Low life thieves.
My mom says I cuss too much. I remember the good ole days when I listen to y’all. God bless you both, thank you for sharing.
You mean thank you for fucking sharing. Haha. God bless!
Mike Ritland’s one liner jokes when he’s replying to a story are legendary.
The free range gynecologist 😂
Lol, right!? There was another episode where he had on a SEAL (forgot who) who was recounting how they had to manouvre up very steep terrain on the side of a mountain in Afghanistan to assault some dwellings there. Without missing a beat, Mike throws in a "Jeffersons" reference and says, "movin on up." Bwahahahaha!!
🤣🤣
Shawn Ryan is a beast in his own right, from his work experience in the military and for CIA to the amazing job he's doing with his podcast. I was a high-school lacrosse teammate & surfing buddy of Seth Stone, he was a good dude. RIP Seth Stone Gone but not forgotten!
Man I love Shawn he reminds me of both my uncles who have been to war since desert storm to 13 tours in Afghanistan/Iraq. Very humble and beautiful people.
I promise you I have an old buddy who is no longer with us since Covid isolation quest 🙄 but he is Shawn’s doppelgänger to me and it’s looks and a lot of the mannerisms and it’s so weird but also so connecting in a weird , higher energy realm and it’s positive. Idk just rolling with it but made me think of it.
Shawn is humble af. I had to watch this podcast to find out all the combat tours he did
"No respect or fear for the consequence." The best quote i have ever heard. Ever.
There is so much knowledge from experience pouring out of both Shawn and Mike that it’s mind blowing
“I want to help people”... much respect for both of you. Thank you.
The look of confusion from shawn at 4:22 "How could you hate sri...racha". This is one of the better interviews I've seen. Well rounded.
Shawn is so vigalent and elite.
😀, he’s cool though
So vigilant and elite

The part about pirates drowning because they’re wearing body armor and their laugh 😂😂 holy smokes

Fast forward 3 years and Shawn has his own outstanding podcast!!
*great interview/chat! Thanks for your service, gentlemen!!
This was great.
Mental illness, mental hygiene, & mental health are so important!
I can’t fathom what lives on in a combat vet or contractor’s mind after all the outside noise stops!
I just know that I’ve had around 40 years of massive unexpected adrenaline dumps. Frequent, intense, and rolling in and out like waves. Just pushing through it, working on the deeper stuff and finding exceptionally people as inspiration to keep doing the work.
Y’all amaze me & I think you guys are the ones I need to be listening to in order to stay in the fight & motivated.
Thanks guys. All of you combat vets out there.
Who knew you’d come home from war and inspire civilians to keep working hard on their mental health. To me, speaking up about THAT stuff is as courageous as anything else you’ve done in your lives. Thank you for that!!
🤘🏻🇺🇸
Now I'm back at the end of the podcast to double down with my THANK YOU to both of you . I greatly appreciated your time
Amen on lack of accountability. Has to be one of the major underlying causes of today’s problems
Saute in yugoslavian ain't succotash
Accountability and people apologizing when they did nothing wrong to preserve others feelings.

Yep. We all need our asses beat from time to time, it's what keeps the universe in check.
Shawn has really mellowed out.

El Matador lol... crazy comment, but you’re right unfortunately! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 still is respectable to be in the military, the discipline, the training, it turns you into a real man.... I regret not going... as long as I didn’t fight any wars for them!
I never see these things in real time, but thanks for a great show! I don't have much free time, so I have to watch them in bits, but this was absolutely refreshing. I appreciate honor, credibility and a no BS mentality, and I learn a lot, too! I gotta say, as a military brat in a civilian life with no family left, listening to you guys shoot the breeze reminds me of my beloved papa and brothers who are gone, and that's a gift. Giving honor a platform is important; thank you both for what you do!

STOP YELLING
It’s crazy hearing these spec ops stories. As a regular Army guy I always looked up to these guys and assumed their workload was double ours. Come to find out us regular army infantry guys were doing a lot more than these spec ops guys. Shawn said he did 3-5 month deployments, we did 12 every time, minimum. They said they would sometimes go out on hits and sometimes they would have nothing to do. We went out every single day for 12 hour patrols. Every day. Sometimes they would last long se when we found weapons caches, IEDs or if we made contact with the enemy. Not only that, almost every night out company did raids to capture key leaders. So you could have been out for 13 hours that day, walking through villages looking for bad guys and weapons, sleep for 2 hours, then go out at 1am n a company raid. I did hundreds of raids, patrolled every day, for a freakin year! Sleeping on the ground in tents in the middle of nowhere with no electricity or showers or good food.
From the canadian infantry, thank you for your service. I look up to guys like you.
@@aidenvawer-mccann8068 hey thanks man. I appreciate your service as well. The Canadian soldiers I met were always squared away and I thought it was amazing you guys helped fight in the Global war on Terror.
@@LP3mewhat where the Canadians like on the field ?
@@ziplo never saw them in the field. We were usually alone in our sectors but I saw Canadian soldiers in passing on larger bases and the green zone. They were always squared away with their gear and equipment. They were cool with us when we’d ask questions about where they were at or what they were doing. It’s just cool seeing another countrys troops there in support of our effort.
@@LP3me that’s nice it is pretty Canadian to have a very well put together pack and everything

One of the best run interviews iv ever listened to.BRAVO.
I learned so much from listening to this guy. I think Mike did an awesome job keeping this going. Its 2023 and Im just now discovering this show. Im one of those ignorant people from a small town of Kansas who was never around anyone in the military very much. I liked the comment about doing your research before going into something or.... well.... you were talking about shooting a gun at the time but I would not have really thought about that in the beginning of anything. I always jumped in feet 1st to see if I landed. It truly was so interesting listening to this episode. Hope all turned out and turns out well and you dont have to worry about what people are going to think of you when you are dead. Here you are living on and I'm pretty positive the both of you will be remembered for the good bad and the ugly about your lives. You did good...Thank you!
What an awesome episode. A favorite and so was the last episode.
What happened in Benghazi was a Travesty losing my Buddy defending our people who at the end got four American's killed. Miss you Buddy.. Tyrone Snowden Woods, Company 129 Division 8. April - June 1990 Recruit Training Command San Diego Bootcamp.
What happened in Yakla was a travesty as well, Senior Chief William Ryan Owens lost and no ostensible benefit to defending America, other than killing Al Alawkis children.
As a military member myself, I found multiple points mentioned here to be so on point. Its refreshing to hear individuals who take face value for what it is and be real with life and with yourself. Keep up the great interviews to the both of you.
This by far is one of my favorite interviews. Keep em coming Mike!
I’m just a dumb ass civilian who never served with no excuses. Every time I hear about you guys loosing brothers in battle it chokes me up, I often find myself in tears ..I cant imagine what that does to you guys. I do some digging into every vet we loose (when hear about them on CZcams or social media). I force myself to stop what I’m doing to learn about their life and their families. Maybe out of guilt for not serving or just because I love this country and have a deep no bull shit appreciation for all of you guys. With that said thank you both for your service to this wonderful country without you we would have nothing! Your all true bad ass mother f$#kers!
