Hey Dank, the reason the smartphone might keep dimming and brightening is because of something called adaptive brightness. Depending on where the front camera is, whether in the dark or by bright light, the display adapts to it regardless of what you set it to. You can turn it off in the settings I believe.
I think that's why when he said that he put his finger over the sensors but it didn't change toe brightness when he did so

Before I got my Z-Flip (I'm apparently one of the lucky ones with no issues and I LOVE IT) I still had a dumb basic flip phone...I liked how basic it was, long battery, and small in my pocket. Unfortunately when they upgraded everything to 4G (which made my 3g nonfunctional) they apparently changed the os of the new ones and made it somehow WORSE. I used to love texting via the number pad beacause I could do it really quick, even without looking. But the new one removed the ability to press the > key to start a new letter...so if you wanted to type something like "mom" you used to be able to quickly type 6(m)>666(o)>6(m). But with the new phone you had to wait TWO WHOLE SECONDS for each letter to time out.

But yeah, it's kinda annoying so I always make sure to keep that setting turned off...
The Iphone screen might not be broken. As far as I know the screen is connected via a flat cable with a flimsy connector. This connector can loosen itself for example if the phone was dropped or shaken. It might be possible to reconnect the cable, but not at an Apple store because they will just try to sell you a new one.
I mean, there's still warranty so why not. Even if its as simple as a loose connector, I'll still bring to a first party store rather then voiding my warranty
yeah, I try to get things repaired at apple while they are under warranty but they are so frigging slow to repair... it is faster to just trade for a refurb. Such an inefficient use of recourses. God I wish they would stop fighting 3rd party repair industry and let them be good.
Don't you know if you attempt to take apart an Apple phone and you're not an apple technician it will immediately explode and then it will send a Google maps location straight to the nearest Apple store so that they know that you attempted to open your Apple phone and they will refuse to get you a new one because you voided the warranty

The text messaging application can only send messages under 300 KILOBYTES so if you want to send a photo, you can't as the average size ranges from 400kbs to 1 meg. 2. I think that Opel is called Vauxhall in Australia and some other countries
@@20blog28ye it’s vauxhall in the uk too but opel in mainline europe
@@20blog28 Opel in Europe, Vauxhall in Australia/UK/New Zealand(i think), and every Opel car thats on the US market is branded as Chevrolet (GM owns Opel)

This is why I have kept all my old phones...so I have not only the memories tied to something tangible, but also because they are each a solid representation for the way that the phones of the time were and comparatively how the tech changed in such short spans of time between each. From a flip from 2008 back to a 1g, screenless, telescioping antannae cell phone from roughly 1990. Yaaay.
I keep my old ones as backups, id just need to buy a cheap sim now that I have e sim
you can also use old phones as backups just in case you break your phone
@@rnaval6000official I wish, some of htem so old they dont work, nor would a company allow me ot use em. Also companies been shutting down their 3g bands, which is dumb because htye left the 2g weaker band operating.
There is literally nothing wrong with getting a used Sony Ericsson at this point. Even the W995, one of their latest flagships, sells new for 160 eurobucks.
I used to have a BLU Grand m2 as my first phone that I shared with my brother. The camera sucked for a phone from 2018, but the performance was ok. The only thing I liked about it was the ringtones. Unfortunately, my parents got rid of it, so I don’t have it anymore. It was a great first phone

My first flip phone (soft bank) had antenna tv. That was awesome.

i got my nokia 2720 flip 2 years ago in fall 2020, after heavy constant usage it started going unserviceable. i loved it enough that i bought a new one a month ago. and then i bought another one to backup the new one if it does the same as its predecessor or i lose/destroy it.
My sense of humor has deteriorated to the point where I laughed during the first Nokia camera showcase
I just love the fact that he went into the phone store and bought a bunch of dinky budget phones instead of a decent mid-tier smartphone that probably would've cost less than all of these combined.
Yeah honestly. I'm almost convinced these phones are designed to prey on people who don't know any better. You can get flagship phones from a few years ago for less than one of those.
@@konradfun not really, these phone its designed as secondary or emergency phone, thus the lacks of performance, cause they have a pretty decent battery life that should enough to make a call and texting
@@megimargareth4015 I keep my emergency phone powered off until I need it. If these were designed to be secondary phones then they wouldn't be as expensive as they are.
@David Vazquez not quite the case in Australia. A 4a is 599 kangaroos, whereas he paid $635 for the phone in the video :’)
A flip phone is not a scam. It has a niche use case. Basically a secondary phone with top tier battery life.
Good ol KaiOS... built off the old FirefoxOS that loads every app as a lightweight website instead of an actual app and is also really popular in developing countries
Apps being glorified websites, shitty, websites is a thing in iOS/Android too...
@@erik3371 So is HTML5 apps though
I have a Cricket Debut Flip that runs KiaOS as my backup phone, and no not all the apps are websites, as they do take up storage space, and can run local in Airplane mode, however as someone else pointed out they are coded in HTML5. Also I still have my orange colored unlocked Alcatel Firefox OS phone complete in box in my collection, and man that thing was sluggish AF!!
@@CommodoreFan64 fun fact websites also take up space and can be run in airplane mode 😉
@@phallo I think he was talkng about local .html files, not websites. A .html document is only a website when its being hosted to the web hence the name "website"
