Thanks and glad you took the time to put this out there and it is all very true. I used to fish out of a Panga in central America for many years. The boats were designed for 3rd world country small village fisherman, designed for for just fishing, narrow beam and flat bottom for launching from the beach, high bow to recover fishing nets, narrow so they could be steer from the stern. The flat bottom rides like hell in a choppy sea. They are cheap boats to make and as such they dont have all the creature comforts we are use to here in the USA. It is a great boat none the less. We used to drag and recover our boat from the beach in Panama. Thanks

Thank you for the honest video. My current Panga, a 2013 Panga Marine 18, is self bailing. So is the 25' Imemsa I just ordered. Maybe it is an East Coast thing, but self bailing Pangas are available. Agree with much of your video. For me the attraction is the ability to go shallow and deep.

I love pangas, pangas are the best value, unless you get a free boat, the skipper, that's the key✌🏼👍🏼

I'm interested in building a panga for use on the Philippines. Very few boa launches Panagas look like the way to go. I can beach it and it performs well and very efficient

My wife is from the Philippines. Been many times myself. I've seen several there sitting on the beach ready to launch and some dive resorts

Not all panga boats are created equal, the Allmand panga boats are self-bailing.
What I like most about the Allmond panga boats is that on the larger models they have mixed the Sports Fishing style boats In with the original Panga style on sizes 29 to 42 feet and the price is right.

How is quality of the Allmond panga, I’m assuming they’re the Chinese Liya boats and don’t want them to fall apart. I’m thinking about their 25 foot
