In a nutshell, I ‘m an avid dumpster diver, scrapper, picker, treasure hunter and underwater connoisseur. I prowl the city streets in search of dumpster loot, curbside treasures & scrap metal as well as scour the river bottoms for lost valuables during the summer months when I can scrounge up enough money for gas. I wonder with all the time he puts in AFTER he gets all of this back to his garage and then takes it apart and sorts it, if he makes anything, except for the great videos he does. Another interesting YT channel is derrickwith2rs as he repairs w/d and he shows how many of them only have minor problems, but people junk them.

They need to have a special Olympics for dumpster divers. Events could be tossing finds into the back of a truck, stripping wire, sorting metals, dismounting dumpsters, evading guards or store employees, etc.
Was loading scrap earlier had more than my trailer should have held..... I thought to myself how would mike get all this in here... somehow got it to fit thanks mike

Mike, watching, learning, and really enjoying your escapades. I was in hospital twice, a day and 1/2 between. Went in end of July finally out Sept 3rd. Had my shots for covid, very careful the whole time BUT I got covid while in the hospital. When cane home could not stand or walk, barely making it to bathroom. Docs.nurses dropped off some bottled water, county for elderly drop off 2 grocery bags of things I could open to eat while they hooked me up for meals on wheel...they are a life saver. Never expected something like this..only child passed, originally from Ohiomoved here to help here but sadly had a stroke and 46 days later she was gone. Died in my arms. Her husband no help for her or anybody. Fell about week after home broke sternum bone right in middle of chest hitting a piece of furniture, barely got up, to bed painful and lay down thought I was loosing it. Just pain. To look for positive, they found the begin spot of cancer. Later operate 1 day op.and then radiation. Found this youtubes...used phone for entertainment as my TV went out just died. So phone has been a blessing. You have given me some good laughs. Has got me thru as no family and live by self. All associate in Ohio, barely know anyone here. But I am making in slowly, still can not stand long or walk far, but about every 7bdays make it to a store one day then next to another..then have to regroup washed out..but I am making it and people like you have really helped me so thank you Mike, it is really appreciated.
We got lucky yesterday. A man called and ask if we wanted 4 vending machines , and 8 coin changers. The mighty claw had to un load them today. It took up our whole car hauler.
Quality over quantity. My yard dropped its shred price. Keep picking “and such”!

@6:30 Metal containers - buckets, large pour cans like this one - extremely handy to have. They don't melt like the plastic ones. Becoming rare and scarce. Means their $ is going up.

the old green lines were copper, they were prone to cracking, so they were replaced by the stainless flex lines.
Hanging up in the garage
My husband was up at our Monday house and it was snowing on Monday. Today, he is biking in Iowa and it about 90! Here in Washington State we had the coldest April on record. I would love a hot day!
That windmill scrap that you found alongside the dumpster could be painted or decorated to make a cool yard ornament.

I get a lot of ventilators from a medical place. Last week I got 9 of them. They have 2 stainless steel cylinders in them some brass pieces, some copper tubing, some wire and also aluminum in them. I get a lot of wheelchairs, hospital beds , walkers and oxygen carts. I got 13 of them out of their dumpster the other day. I don't know why they throw them away. They are all brand new.

Mike, the Kiowa I box, if it has partitions not molded plastic , the partitions can be cut out and the box can be used for accept or what ever.

The TV's are a good find! The Dell Vostro is a great find! The IDE type PCs of old I don't really take, as the technology is a bit dated. Even if it works, it's the home/garage space it takes up. The BBQ pit is one heck of a find! Please be safe while stomping in those treasure chests!
