That's pretty common in Norway, even on major routes! On secondary routes there are frequent pullouts so you can pass other vehicles. I remember highway 7 along Hardangerfjord, which used to be the main road between Oslo and Bergen, the two largest cities of Norway, where there are spots where only 1 vehicle can pass at the time.
nature is very beautiful, but the roads are very narrow, the problem especially in winter, who works on a truck, understands me, it’s shown normal, there is a road in which only one car can drive, if another one appears at the meeting, then one of them will need to be returned.
I am Greek and we went to Norway in November 2021. We stayed in one of those cheap family cottages about 40-50 min north of Odda. It was the best vacation of my life. It was cheaper overall, too, than going to a Greek island or Italy/France/Spain..etc. My advice to southerners - take the plane and rent a car there. The high road fees throughout Europe aren't worth it. Save your euro for the fees in Norway ;) We're going back there in November, this time with the kids.

We've driven past this plenty of times. =D There's a really beautiful waterfall west of Odda too, if yo go through the Folgefonn tunnel, and then head south, there's Furebergfossen (( look it up on google maps) you pass it really close on a narrow bridge (narrower than the one by Låtefoss).

@@Weakypedia_ most of the reservoirs had a very low water level, almost looking like those in Spain at the end of summer. I also went across Hardangervidda again, virtually no snow and ice remaining, quite different from my trip in June 2014.

Nothing special actually, and drivers are careful so much safer than it seems. Norway (along with Sweden) has the safest roads in Europe.

It's gotten a lot better in recent years, but the terrain on the West Coast is simply awful for building roads.

Ah, I missed that one by 5 kilometers, I stayed at Sundal (after the Folgefonna Tunnel) to hike to the glacier. Norway has lots of great waterfalls.
