Tori is one of the greatest vocalists of this generation. She's criminally underrated. Her tone & range are top-notch, but her vocal precision & agility are absolutely PEERLESS. Her ability to riff & run so effortlessly with so much control & precision is otherworldly. There are some phenomenal vocalists who can also riff their faces off (Ariana Grande, Beyoncé and Jessie J, just to name a few), but none of them can match Tori's incredible combination of agility, precision, control and effortlessness. Its as easy as breathing for her.
This whole special (if this was taken from her live Christmas special at Capitol Records) is a must. Every second of it is great. She literally sings better live than on the actual album.

Yes, Tori was on American Idol in 2010. At her audition, Simon told her that her voice was annoying, but she made it through to Hollywood. It was between Tori and another girl to be picked for the 24th spot of the "Top 24," and Tori got cut.

One of the most consistently underrated and overlooked vocalists in the world. I've not always enjoyed her original material, but I've never been able to find fault in her voice. I've never heard agility like her. Absolutely insane control and completely pitch perfect movement across registers and notes, it's unbelievable.
Her belting voice is great and the little cry she puts in now and again is lovely.

I love it when singers get cut from shows and go out and make it on their own. You just know some of those shows are kicking themselves. As far as this song goes, even though she did a beautiful job, I'm still partial to John Berry's version. I might have to do a superchat request for it on your next Livestream.😉
