I just wanted to say I'm so surprised by how good and well thought of this review was built and produced. I'm used to crappy videos in the eskate community and this one was so well rounded. keep up the good work.
Totally agree with you
I got the 105mm ones for my Backfire Zealot and they are buttery smooth! Thanks for your vids guys!
I am on the fence about getting these Cloud wheels 120mm for my ExWay Flex. This video helps a lot in learning toward making me waste more $$$ on my eBoard .... 😥.
Update: I love them 120mm on my ExWay Flex Riot board. I can virtually go anywhere in the city, riding on the various type of road surfaces here in San Francisco .... including them infamous SF hills. They are definitely worth every pennies.
All the cloud wheels including the the ownboards which you were referring to were made by iwonder, but most companies sold them with their own logo. What is new with these is that they are the new discovery model with stronger core, softer which means better grip and it seems they are less convex than the old ones, great video and for many uses great wheels. Cheers
I’m waiting for my 105s to show up now. I’m excited to put them on my Backfire zealot. Great video!👍
Amazing video, looks very fun lol. Thanks for putting this info out there :)
as someone that only has used Pneumatics, this will greatly increase my range/battery life per ride.
Great review
Good video. Thanks for making it.
I'm just trying to pay attention to the rough road details and I get jumpscared by a Lincoln ad
Very instructive! Was wondering if we can we mount them with their pulley, on a 34mm axle length? or do we need, at least, a 49mm axle? Thank you
Using my board to and from work, I gotta transition from road, to sidewalks to grass, cloud wheels seem like the good middle ground. Good review!
Definitely a solid option then!
Love your locations on this review keep up the good work and you need to do a review on your helmet that thing is so sweet what’s the brand?
Thank you! We both wear Ruroc Helmets here www.ruroc.com/en_us/snow-sports.html and we have a. review of them here czcams.com/video/W5B-457Y8oY/video.html
good video, thanks.
Thanks man :)
I always love to watch your video. I bought TB110mm after watching your video and I am satisfied with TB110mm. I was very interested in Cloud wheels but I heard many claims about chip-off problem or durability of core, etc. I also heard that those problems were solved by new tires but I still can't believe 100%. I love my TB110 & Evolve 107mm on street. However, I love AT tires as well. Only concern about AT tires is the short range. Normally the combination of T66 & 7" gives me the range of 20-23km at high speed on flat land (Evolve GTR). Do you think the range of Cloud wheel 120mm at high speed is better than AT7"? or almost the same?
Range on clouds is much better that AT. From what we have experienced w/ the discovery cloud wheels, they have been great. I've heard a lot of others also say the discovery's are good too!
Nice & Thanks :)
This actually sold me on the tb110s
Lol
Nice review 👍. What is the difference in range compared with TB110’s? On smooth and rough roads would you pick these or TB110’s
TB 110 for sure all the way
Looking to get a kit for my diy. I have caliber 2 trucks (270mm wide from boardnamics) which kit should I get?
Waiting on my Tynee Mini 2, I added the cloud wheels. Also comes with 90 mm wheels
Nice!
🔥🔥🔥
Dude ur silver color helmet is so sick !!! Where did u get them from and wat r they called ?
Its from Ruroc
Been wondering how the carving is on this, thanks for the nice video.
EDIT: I wonder how they compare to those ONSRA 115mm wheels. They seem to have better contact patch.
Yeah definitely was pleasantly surprised by the grip they had but still no where near as good as some TB 110's or ABEC 107's that have huge contact patches
@@DIYesk8Builders If you try those ONSRA 115mm would you give me a holler on how they compare, I want something that I'm not going to slip out on.
@@acekeianar contact patch on cloud wheels are like less than a centimeter. Its super super small.
The 115mm rubber wheels have a Chinese cloned core that does not fit Metall Kegel Adapters. You need to buy them with specialty made pulleys or drill the holes to 6,2mm if you want them to fit on real Kegel adapters
@@NullBlox I think I'll slip lol
Great Video !! But recommend a bit slower speech . could not understand some words, as said to fast. Regarding other wheels to check (video time 9:10) . Other than that great honest opinions that back up very likely facts. I wish all other videos that are subpar would just be deleted. This is a great example of how a video should be done. Thank You. I am excited to put some on my Eboard. PS glad to see a Drop deck .
I tried all 3 wheels. In my opinion, TB 110mm 72a is good but when the road gets rough (90% of our roads) the lateral grip gets lost and slips very easily. Almost fell few times.
120mm cloud wheels much more comfortable than 110mm. Almost no comparison in comfort. I find the grip is more than 110mm on rougher streets.
115mm onsra wheels (my favorite) the grip is new level compared to both. But the there is a lot of drag and range is affected the most.
110mm shines on newly paved roads but all wheels shine in nice roads.
To be honest though we are getting nitty gritty here. Any of those wheels are going to be amazing premium wheels haha
The curve is on purpose so when you are turning you have more wheel on the surface
Beautiful location!!! Where was the video shot at?
Shot at Mount Hood Oregon
OSM!!!
any chance you will be comparing the 120mm Cloudwheels with Onsra's 115mm wheels?
Maybe if we can get our hands on some
Is there a directionality to these wheels? Do the treads need to face a certain direction when installing?
There is not really a direction to them
Correct me if I am wrong, but doesn't boardnamics sell metal press fit pulleys in both cores styles?
I believe they do now but I am not sure that they feel flywheel clones
❤
Hi do you know what takes more energy overall hub motor or belt motor?
Hub
120 cloud wheels are confusing because they give you more confidence at higher speeds and the remote tells you you're going slower than you're actually going. (Wowgo 3 user). My remote said I was going 19 mph and I was believing it because the wheels are so comfy and then I remembered 19mph is really 26mph. I don't think it would go up very steep hills though with these motors. I'd recommend 105s
The remote uses the gear ratio and wheel size for speed. Larger diameter than what it is programmed for means that the board is actually going faster!
hello, i buy cloudwheels 120d, but belt is to loose.. so u unscrew that 4 screws and tried move motor, but it cant.. how i can adjust belt tention?
If you can't pull the motor any further back then I would recommend getting smaller belts
@@DIYesk8Builders yes, thats a way.. where i can buy it?:)
You can buy smaller belts from poly belt, they have a wide array of belts
@@DIYesk8Builders can you give me the website for the belts please my friend
@@clarisasmith1780 we use polybelt
Bro do you live in clackamas? i noticed at 7;28. im like hey! i take that freeway all the time.
We are from SW Portland and Beaverton
@@DIYesk8Builders need to meet up and ride! im here in the eastside fairview.
@@OregonDucks007 I am in Fairview too! Just getting into the eboard world, but riding a lot!
Can I use this wheels on a drop through longboard with calinpber trucks?
Probably, though you'll need a deck with good cutouts to avoid wheelbase and you will also need to find a wheel pulley that works on them
@@DIYesk8Builders
Is have a freeride 41 original deck and caliber 2 trucks
do these wheels work with the demon 2.0?
Yes they do as long as you get the pulleys that come with it
What motors and battery are you using in this test?
6355 and 123sp
The contact patch is actually very large on these wheels. When you stand on them, they compress and the contact patch is almost an oval, compared to a thin strip on urethane wheels.
Thin strip? You are high.
Do you have a pre-built board on your site with these wheels I don't see the ability to put these on with what your site is showing.
If you go on the store and ask us in the live chat we can discuss it with you
Are these more comfortable on rough roads than mad wheels?
It is hard to say. It has been a while since I rode on these. Both are solid options
Ever gonna try building with direct drives?
We would love to but we are so busy at the moment
@Moydolf Dada Art Collective I have a flip sky dual 6.6 for my torqueboards dual 6374 they work amazing trust me they power me up hill at 25+ mph and I weigh over 200ibs
The ownboard ones are The older version. These are The discoverys, newest formula and model. Much softer and better quality
Yes that what it seems like. Night and day difference between the two sets of wheels. Discoveries are so much better
@@DIYesk8Builders I literally just bought some Ownboard cloud wheels before discovering this video. Is it that big of a difference?
Who won the giveaway for the Shread Lights?
The person that made this video lol
What's your intro song?
The price is insane
just bought hub motor ones for my backfire g3, now nervous they will be too big and hit the front battery pack??
i have backfire g3 too did they work for you???
Hi beautiful let's go riding
range compared to street / at?
Better than AT, worse than most street
@@DIYesk8Builders how much better?
What is the name of that song 3:39 seconds
Its Empty Streets by Curtis Cole
I would love to buy a direct drive board from you guys that like... $500 lol. If possible.... Haha. You guys would run the new world of eboards if that was the case. Direct drive are just too pricey. I don't know why people aren't competing to move away from hub to direct drive. They're basically the same type of design almost.
genAric?
4:57 😬 bro
Great review, but your riding stance looks weird.lol. loosen up bro..
he is riding chicken foot lol
@@romeocopiedme I believe you.lol
yeh for sure, especially during the carving segment lol
You should improve your carving haha
You should improve your commenting lol
@@milesmccall2301 you should improve your replying 🧘🏾
Stay away from that company. My core had chunks missing from just regular riding on a BGTR. They did not honor a refund and kept giving me the run around. Be very wary of this company. Also, been hearing the newer version is still not as strong as other cores. Just imagine doing 25 mph and all of a sudden the whole thing cracks and you end up on just the trucks. Not a good look. Thank god I noticed the crack and chunks before that happened.
Get a 3d printer and make any pulley with any tooth count 😏
