I love scrappy quilts! Thank you. I would really appreciate a chance to see your finished quilt at the end of the video. You provide a partial view of the finished quilt but it would be helpful if you’d step back and get the entire quilt in one shot. Please.
I love this quilt ❤
Excellent tutorial! Thank you for covering the general approach, and esp. your thoughts, design choices/decisions, how viewers may have different options! Your trimming tip at about 13:00 min is Brilliant! Thank you too for the color variations you mention at the end. (I was really hoping for a view of the whole top but thought, “hmmm, was that deliberate so I don’t get stuck on a particular look? …She’s so smart!”)
Very well taught EXCEPT, we were never able to see the total quilt, people like me need to seeeeeee things please.
Stumbled upon you today! I am happily devouring your videos. This is my style...carefree and simple. Thanks for sharing.
Yay! I’m so glad you enjoyed it :) I love mixing in this style of piecing-it’s so much less stressful!
Thanks for another great video.
Love it.
Love your tutorials! I wish we could see the entire quilt . But still like the idea of the strings.
Yeah!! I love your tutorials, your always upbeat and a joy to watch
You are so pleasant to watch and have such nifty ideas. Thankyou
I love it
Love your “recipe” and totally jealous of the sheer volume of your scraps!! A testament to all the quilts you make!! 🧵❤️
Thanks Sandra! I think I could made a couple of dozen scrap quilts at this point! 😂
Love this idea. I love that you use your scraps thoughtfully… no kitchen sink everything in a hot mess. Thank you. I really enjoy your teaching and sharing
Thanks for teaching a method rather than a pattern this time. Creativity thrives with good materials, tools, techniques and imagination. Even with a pattern, the fun is in making it your own.
I always really appreciate your videos, thank you!
I love your energy, Clearly explained process and your tips for evening up your rows. You are very easy to watch.
I love the quilt top, and I love your smile! I'd like to see the top finished, & I'd like to see your low volume bag when you were done. Lol! Does it feel like there's more in it than when you started? That's what happens here...lol!
You are so inspirational! I’m fairly new to quilting and this one gets my creativity flowing!
Would love to see all the quilt top better ,,like maybe zoom out so we could see it all,,looked good though, ,thanks
I too would like to see the whole quilt top. Great ideas and you are great at explaining your creative plans. Thanks for sharing with us.
Lol-it’s amazing what you think is in a video after working on it for so long! I really thought I had a shot of the whole thing but I obviously missed it. I’ll post one to the channel now but I’ll also be doing a video on the quilting soon, so I’ll be sure to show the whole thing all finished :)
@@TinyOrchardQuilts Have you come back to this project yet? Would love to see the finished quilt.

I’m really enjoying your videos. Great positive feeling you give. Thanks! You can come organize my scraps any day!!!
Love this! I needed the hack for how to trim up a long row about a month ago lol
Thanks! The trimming is definitely the hardest part of these kinds of rows!
Beautiful and simple!💕 Very easy to understand scrap project. Great tutorial.Thanks.🌹
Hola me encantaron tus diceños hermosos los colores un saludo desde Colombia 🙋🙏🏻
I’d love to know how you create your bundles of strings, I presume they are off cuts from yardage or sewing blocks etc, but what size do you make them etc. So excited to have come across your videos, has left my head bursting withideas
Love the quilt top. It would be great to see it quilted and bound.
I have a video on the quilting I published a couple of weeks ago! I did a really fun combination of wavy lines and bumps to create an allover pattern.
So, maybe don’t say so, so often. :P. Thanks for sharing this with us! Love the idea of using scraps for Bargello!
I love this! Planned scrappy with lots of spontaneity. Can hardly wait to see your fat quarter plans.
I am new to your channel. Great job! I like the way you work and your method for the videos. Thank you!
Cool idea, but I would really like to see a full view of this quilt!
Sorry! I thought I had included it! There’s a full shot in my Instagram here: instagram.com/p/B9joo-SHzpU/?igshid=kieu8guefzsx

Happy quilting!
I love this quilt! I don’t have very many scraps, though. Do you think this pattern would work with a jelly roll?
Sure! You could just cut the jelly roll up into lengths that you'd like the strips to be :)
I would have loved to see the whole quilt.
Lol-it’s amazing what you think is in a video after working on it for so long! I really thought I had a shot of the whole thing but I obviously missed it. I’ll post one to the channel now but I’ll also be doing a video on the quilting soon, so I’ll be sure to show the whole thing all finished :)
I would like for u to show the quilt on full.
Would there be any advantage to making this quilt using long muslin pieces as a base?
I sure do like your teaching abilities! I am a terrible teacher.
Thank you! Part of the reason I started was to improve my teaching skills! I’m glad you think I’ve improved :)
I really like this scrappy idea and I was trying to get a download of the pattern , is it free because it was trying to ask for a payment and address to ship? Thanks:)
Hi Megan What length is your sewing stitch? I notice that your strips are not separating . I really hate slowing down to back stitch and would appreciate your input on your stitch length. Thanks!
I sew with a really small stitch length-1.6 or 1.8. I feel like it makes my seams a little stronger especially since I like to press open. I don’t bother to backstitch for the most part but I try to remember when I’m assembling the final rows or a quilt and I know that seam will be on the edge of a quilt.
What do you mean by "low volume"?
Nice but i don't have the amount of scraps necessary......possibly one day.
What does the whole thing look like? .... maybe its not done when you filmed?
I would love to see your complete quilts, not just a small part behind you on the wall. I can't really see the finished effect.
disappointed not to see the quilt top at the end, did you forget?
Sadly, yes! I made this video quite a while ago and was still learning a lot! I did make another video about it when I quilted it and there are photos of it on the website where you can download the pattern.
Maybe I should redo this quilt someday and update the video!
I find it difficult to follow your videos without seeing the entire quilt. Maybe you can zoom out and show us?
Would've been nice to actually see the quilt,
Strings???? Do you mean strips?
Yes! I’ve heard it both ways. I usually think of strips as 2.5” width of fabric cuts but strings as any size long skinny scraps.
@@TinyOrchardQuilts Nope...they're strips!! You're confusing a string quilt pattern with the term strip. BTW I organize my scrapes and group different size strips (from 1-1/2" to 3"). Your pattern would be sooo easy for me to make. Thank you for the inspiration.
More sewing less waffling please x
i just love all of your videos
