    Excellent tutorial! Thank you for covering the general approach, and esp. your thoughts, design choices/decisions, how viewers may have different options! Your trimming tip at about 13:00 min is Brilliant! Thank you too for the color variations you mention at the end. (I was really hoping for a view of the whole top but thought, “hmmm, was that deliberate so I don’t get stuck on a particular look? …She’s so smart!”)

    Hi Megan What length is your sewing stitch? I notice that your strips are not separating . I really hate slowing down to back stitch and would appreciate your input on your stitch length. Thanks!

    • @TinyOrchardQuilts
      @TinyOrchardQuilts Před 3 lety +1

      I sew with a really small stitch length-1.6 or 1.8. I feel like it makes my seams a little stronger especially since I like to press open. I don’t bother to backstitch for the most part but I try to remember when I’m assembling the final rows or a quilt and I know that seam will be on the edge of a quilt.

    Strings???? Do you mean strips?

    • @TinyOrchardQuilts
      @TinyOrchardQuilts Před 4 lety

      @lorrispeciale1585 Před 4 lety

      @@TinyOrchardQuilts Nope...they're strips!! You're confusing a string quilt pattern with the term strip. BTW I organize my scrapes and group different size strips (from 1-1/2" to 3"). Your pattern would be sooo easy for me to make. Thank you for the inspiration.
