      Ugly but with ”Un fil di voce” demanded on the last note.

    If Verdi were alive at the same time as Madame Radvonovski, I think it would be safe to say she would be not only his muse, but one of the premier interpreters of his canon because his music is really well suited to her.vocal style and dramatic technique. Brava

      If Verdi were alive at the same time as Madame Radvanovsky (you made two spelling errors in her last name btw), he would probably quit composing opera because no one wants to hear this mediocrity perform their work.

    I always say this about Sondra I fall in love again and again and again. It's true Fioratura is not her thing nobody can have it all right? RIGHT. Sondra is no Diva which is refreshing unlike Angela Ghe.........I should stop that's unkind. This woman is so generous with her audience for example Mama La Morta and then sings it again and doesn't even break a sweat. Hello we all love the high notes as does Sondra. Sondra has done a lot of good work and she's not cookie cutter she takes risks. As I always say all singers have challenges and just when you think the voice is settled something something shifts. We love you Sondra.😘😘😘

      Donizetti without the proper Bel Canto training ? I don't think so.

      @luisdavidalvarezcorrales8882 Před 2 lety +4

      @@Yves_Ka I don't mean to be rude, but let's face it: yes, she has been trying to portray Bel Canto heroines, but she does not have proper Bel Canto training: agility, legato from top to bottom of her soprano range, intrinsic coloratura all those roles require, etc.
      I guess is not her fault, at least she's trying, singers they do not own their careers, opera conductors are a mess. Plus, opera is a mess nowadays.
      But trying to stick in certain répertoire does not make you good at portray it.
      Look at Lily Pons, besides Lakme, Lucia and Marie (fille du régiment) where her fetich roles and she's a horrible Lucia and Marie.
      It's sad, because I really like Sondra's voice. But since real Bel Canto singers and teachers disappeared since a while ago, we cannot blame her for not having a nonexistent training.
      Best,
      Luis

    She doesn’t have the right voice to sing this repertoire. She has enough voice but she does not use it nor does she have agility or coloratura and this role is extremely agile. Her voice is stiff! The only exciting part about Sondra’s voice is her upper register and that is it! And not always as it is not consistent. But this role is heavy in the middle and upper middle and Sondra vocally is horrid in this parts of her voice. HORRID!
