KIM NAM GIL is one of the best Korean actor I've followed for more than a dozen years. I was first impressed by his performance in the 2009 historical drama "The Great Queen Seondeok" . When I see his name in the cast, I watch it cause he makes the movie or drama fantastic. He can portray any role: action, suspense, drama, comedy. I loved him also in "The Fiery Priest". My utmost respect for Kim Nam Gil.
đŻ agree with you. I first saw him in Live Up To Your Name. Fell in love. Then watched as many things as possible. Queen Seondeok was OUTSTANDING!!! Bad Boy AMAZING!! Fiery Priest was so stinking good I canât. Heâs amazing in whatever he does.
Kim Namgil!!! The best actor ever I swear to god. He is amazing. Drama, Romance, Horror, Comedy. He can do it all. And is an amazing human being.

Kim nam gil is an amazing actor, very few actors are good at eye expressions like him. Most importantly, one among very few actor who is in "talent first look next" category. Wish more people celebrates him, world wide.
The comfort is so amazing to listen to and watch . Being so up front and open is so difficult. Some good lessons learned here and shared with us
Thank you for this reaction, Roscoe! I loved Kim Namgil in "The Fiery Priest" and also enjoyed his appearance in Jin's limited series. He seems such a good guy with a great sense of humour. Really enjoyed your additional discussions layered with what's happpening on the show, I'm sure your viewers could totally relate to how much easier it is to do a good job when you stop worrying about your effect on people and just do your best sincerely. Loved the back-and-forth between Yoongi and Namgil, the masterful host and the actively engaged guest. What a gem of an episode.
Soz....bit long...đŽ but Im English in London, BTS fan but also Ive been a fan of Nam Gil for 6 years now. Im ancient..đ so know a genuine good person when i see one ....this guy truly is. He also does big Musical Concerts to raise money for his Charities. All the top actors go along and join in games etc. I was lucky enough to go to one in Japan. Fantastic. He welcomes everyone at the door himself!
What you said about him is 100% fact. Hes a good....the real meaning of the word....man, highly intelligent AND boy is he a fantastic actor, he was the first to do a film about gay love...years ago now took some flack in Korea but it was a beautiful film and did well in Europe.. His TV work is very impressive, none of those cheesey romances, real gritty stuff, and hes also a great comic actor. Ive literally seen everything hes done,movies, tv and documentaries. I started off because he was so handsome but that soon changed to being impressed by his talent. Hes an amazing guy.....but it was so sad to see him last week at the funeral of Lee Sun Kyun.......he looked utterly lost ....it was sad to see. They were very close friends after filming a rail trip to Russia together. Poor Nam Gil was a shadow of himself. Great to hear someone who wasnt aware of him summing him up so well. He helps so many people and has for 15 years. If you can take a look at a tiny video just 3.47 made by a town in Indonesia where he provided Earthquake relief... So humble says nothing about it...ever.. ....so his fans tell everyone how kind this man instead đ Its called...
'Kim Nam Gil a man for others...'.he cares for so many....quietly without fuss at the same time as acting, singing, playing piano.....very well....it goes on...
Disabled, elderley, abused animals.......he cares for the people other people discard. Pays with his own Film/TV work, photoshoots etc, any way at all. There arent many actors anywhere like him.

Agreed! I discovered Nam Gil on Netflix (LUTYN) only a year ago and have yet to find another American who knows who he is. But immediately became my favorite actor and my portal to all of S.K. He has talent, looks and character. He was a stand up guy at Lee Sun Kyun's funeral last week when so many SK celebs were afraid to show because of the scandal. He's brave and loyal, boyish and vulnerable, and as versatile as Cary Grant, playing slapstick, action, dramas...but with a touch of Audrey Hepburn's unforgettable charm and humanitarianism. He could be one of the all time greats. He needs to find his Alfred Hitchcock to direct him in classic movies at the center of SK's golden age of drama. This was my first Roscoe video and I was impressed by the acuity of his reactions and comments without his being familiar with KNG's work. He was right on the money.
