To anybody who's reading this, I pray that whatever is hurting you or whatever you are constantly stressing about gets better. May the dark thoughts, the overthinking, and the doubt exit your mind right now. May clarity replace confusion. May peace and calmness fill your life. Amen.💕
Thank you, there are days that I overthink and worry about all that is going on in the church, the world. It can get depressing. It's all in God's hands.
Ever read the biblical versus where Jesus said to go into a room and pray and not share it publicly? Clearly you didn't read an elementary text in the bible or chose to neglect and ignore it.. Your conduct is shameful and clearly you are promoting your prayer in order to glorify yourself and feel good.
Father hear my prayers. I’m losing hope. My husband is with you I still miss him even after all these years. These pass three years have been difficult. At times I feel so alone especially as a single mom. Since suffering a heart attack two years ago and my on going battle with lupus I’m overwhelmed. Both of my sons are autistic. I’m now homeschooling them so my hours to work are limited. BUT I TRUST YOU LORD! I keep faith even as I constantly struggle to provide for my kids and I constantly struggle to buy groceries. I receive hate for sharing my testimony. My testimony is one of faith. No matter what we are facing God will give us strength to over come. Thankfully I have you Lord! I know I’m not alone. Faith over fear!
@@bang8419 You have an important point sir/mam! But I don't call Christianity "crap"! HOWEVER, I often do think how difficult it might be for one born into one religion & then, move to another one, for the individual & also, often the family. Blessings to you, jzm
This man truly possesses the Wisdom of God. He explains things I could never understand. I believe he will help to bring many souls to Heaven. How our Lord has blessed him.
I feel so blessed today by this sermon! A part of it reminds me of my letter to a colleague who told me she wished she could cry, she had a terminal cancer. So i prayed fervently for the right words to say. She died 3 days after reading my letter. On the day of her funeral she appeared in my dream happy and rejuvenated. I hoped she found her peace.
Yes. I am newly diagnosed with cancer. I say to myself, God is trying to get your attention, he is shaking you up because you have been closed to all his other efforts. Now as Bishop Barron says, I am trying to clear the ground for Him.
In living with cancer like we do, sometimes you don’t have the time or energy “to clear the ground” We ask Jesus to land the plane and journey with us in the ups and downs and He gives us the strength and hope for the days ahead. We ask his mercy for the rest of it.
what a freeing message! I don't have to do all the heavy lifting - Godi s already just outside the door of my heart, waiting for me to open it. Thanks.
God found me long long ago. Revealed himself to me in many ways which I didn't realise until recently some church elder told me that God has already embraced me. Bishop Barron whom I have bumped into accidently, has been so inspiring to me and I am grateful that he led me to believe that God has chosen me. Bishop's knocking during this sermon is like what are you waiting for. So, I will now have to make my way to baptism to become a catholic. Thanks, Bishop.
The truth is only as complicated as the mind might resist. At the same time, it is as simple as receiving a gift. May you be transformed by His Real Presence, Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity, in the Most Holy Blessed Sacrament of the Church.
Thank you, Monseigneur, as we say in French. This is a very humbling homely! Praying for you and all those who are still "searching" for the Lord not knowing he is already there, knocking at their door. The Lord be with you.
Great message. There is a line from the movie Father Stu where Mel Gibson talks about his son telling him the reason he was having so much trouble finding God was because God wasn't the one who was lost. He's always there, waiting for us with patience and love beyond our understanding.
Wow, bishop must have held a conference call with my spiritual director about helping me. This message of letting God in is echoing in most everything I've read or heard ... that's a loud knock ❤
Thank you Bishop Barron for this homily. It is a beautiful reminder that God through Our Lord is ministering to us by the Holy Spirit, eternally alive and acting, reaching out to brothers and sisters and me. Son of God Have Mercy on Me. 🙏🏻
Yes, waiting in hope, faith and love for the Lord to find our lost children! Raised in the faith but who then “felt” nothing from God at Mass or in community of church, so are drifting in a secular culture and gave up seeking God. When, O Lord, will you come to their aid? Our hope is in you.
I confess that this homily is one, if not, the most inspiring light in my quest for a relationship with God. Thank you God for the gift of this your servant
The picture of Jesus knocking at the door, most don't notice there's no handle on the OUTSIDE OF THE DOOR. WE HAVE TO OPEN IT FROM THE INSIDE TO LET HIM IN. PRAISE TO YOU LORD JESUS CHRIST 🙏
I found that taking those “spare” minutes in my days to say a flash prayer, is in keeping with St Paul’s encouragement to pray always. There is always something/someone Holy Spirit will bring to mind for which/whom I can pray.
Yes, everything really is God. I am nothing. Thank you Bishop Barron, listening to you, I understand to act what He wants in me called thy will be done. Yes, to empty myself. Thank you, I got it. Amazing!!!!! Practice!!!!!! Praying. 👍💕🙏
These is an old German poem, saying: Kein Ding ist hier noch dort, das schöner ist als ich, weil Gott, die Schönheit selbst, sich hat verliebt in mich. In English, approximately: No thing is here nor there, that is more beautiful than me, because God, beauty itself has fallen in love with me.
Thank you, thank you, Bishop Barron, for yet another amazing sermon - so inspiring, I want to listen to it and to you again! From you, I hear such profound pieces of wisdom that are truths from today's readings and gospel, that are the Good News that Jesus came to teach us... in his teaching, in his parables, in his way of life, in all that He has done and given to us, The Holy Spirit speaks through you with such eloquence, wisdom and truth, We are truly blessed. Thank you .... I hope I inspire my 8year old pupils as you inspire me.
The helicopter & cluttered room analogy. Wow! Thank you Bishop Barron for your gift of communicating God’s word to us. I needed to hear that today. Timely! God bless you more!
God loves us, is searching for us. Stop, let God in. Let’s God speak to you, heal you. Don’t worry about this world and all it’s problems. Take a break from all that. Give God time and space in your life here and now. This will be our eternity.

I have been pondering this new idea of Christ knocking at our doors. Then today I heard a spiritual song by the Barlow Girls. They reminded me ,” I cryed out with no reply” this reminded me of raising our children. When they learned how to crawl out of their crib, knock on our bedroom door to sleep with us. We would be silent, even in their tears to teach it was ok to sleep alone in their beds. Christ is not knocking. The door swings both ways.
The love of my life broke up with me because of an addiction that took hold of me after returning home from a deployment. This has brought me back to my faith. I’m lost and looking for guidance through God, Bishop Barron, and Father Schmitz. Please pray for me
Thank you, Bishop Barron. Classic or "new set", your sermons always provoke thought & do inspire. This one especially has such beautiful import for our "removing the clutter" & 3 daily ways of opening our life doors to allow GOD into our hearts.
What he says it true. This is the narrow path. For me, I had to let God clean out the clutter first. I’m not sure what he’s doing now but it feels and looks right. I feel free but not inflated, light but not elated, confident but leaving room for doubt. It’s complex and too deep for words, but what Bishop Barron explained is what my experience has been. I hope some day the Lord gives me better words to describe this journey/path, that I can help my own Catholic and Christian brothers and sister, and even others, get here. It’s the place to be. There truly is no fear in love; perfect love really does cast out fear.
As I am listening to your sermon I am also aware of the majestic Himalayan range that that I see from the rooftop of my house in Kathmandu. And as I continue to listen to your amazing sermon the mountains seem to come closer and closer to my heart and enter inside it. Thank you so. much for awakening my lukewarm heart., bishop.
