The best part of this series conversation is the interviewer asking question from the point of view of the critics despite being a student & relation of Ghamdi sab. He is asking all the hard/harsh questions & supplementary/counter questions often raised by critics. That's why it became a very important educating conversation series.

Ghamidi sahab is a blessing for all of us and a gift from Allah particularly in an era where truth has been overshadowed by false and fabricated stories which ahs mislead a major chunk of Ummah.

With all sincerity I think that Ghamidi Sb is one of the a few finest Islamic scholars ever born in the last 1200 years. His interpretation of Qur'an and Deen as a whole make sense, unlike our traditional Ulemas. Thanks a ton.

The whole argument begin from below verse : "O Prophet! Say to your wives, “If you desire the life of this world and its luxury, then come, I will give you a ˹suitable˺ compensation ˹for divorce˺ and let you go graciously. " As per Ghamdi Sb ,this verse is the choice given to Mothers of Believers to live a life of ordinary women ,so does that mean that ordinary women desire the life of this world and not akhirat ? because the next ayat promises great reward in akhirat if they choose to stay as wives of our beloved prophet (S.A.W)

میرا سوال یہ ہیکہ اذان کی سننے کے دوران سر پہ دوپٹہ کا ہونا ضروری ہے دوسرے یہ ایصال ثواب کیلئے جو لوگ اپنے مرحومین کیلئے کلمہ و اذکار وغیرہ کا اہتمام کرتے ہیں کیا اس کا ثواب فی الواقع مردوں کو پہنچتا ہے شریعت اس بارے میں کیا کہتی ہے
تیسرا سوال یہ کہ ہماری فیملی میں اگر کوئ عاقل و بالغ و سمجھدار ہو بار بار نماز کی تلقین کرنے کے باوجود نماز نہ پڑھے تو کیا ایسے میں ہم صرف انھیں صرف لفظی طور پہ کہنے کے پابند ہیں یا کوئ بار بار اصرار کرنا چاہئے جبکہ اس سے تعلق کشیدہ ہونے کا اندیشہ ہو کیونکہ وہ اکثر بڑے ہوتے ہیں تو ایسے میں کوئ رہنمائی فرمادیں

I have a question if it reaches you. Many people while arguing head covering for women as mandatory in Islam argue that in Surah Noor Ayah 31 (24:31) Muslim women are asked to cover their chests with their head covers (khumaar) hence it is mandatory for women to cover their heads but since they were not covering their chests, this was added instruction ... please have Ghamidi Sahab comment on this objection.

Its not Umbreen. In fact, it should be Ambreen. Because of the Arabic ع , English language takes "A" especially starting a word. For instance,
"Ali" علی (Uli looks odd)
"Amber" عمبر (Umber looks surreal)

The correct way is how those people has practiced in front of Rasool(PBUH); other allexplations are debatable; before these Ahkam there was not such PARDA; and after these Ahkam the practice show what are the meaning and practice of these mean; do not try to mix-up wrong assumptions;not obeying is different then denying.

Wallahi, this totally changed my perspective. And how accurately it fits in with the context of what's being talked about in those ayah. One otherwise would wonder why there was talk of war and munafiqeen and all that going on and in between came the hukm for pardah for all the Muslim women.
Even the ayah in itself said so you'd be differentiated/known/identified from others. And then followed the curse on begherat munafiqeens.
And Allah knows best and may He guide us and keep us on righteous path.

غامدی صاحب کم ازکم امام لغت امام زمخشری رح کا پورا موقف تو بیان کرتے . غامدی صاحب نے آدھی بات کی جو ان کے موقف کی تائید میں تھی اور آدھی بات کھا گئے. حالاں کہ پوری بات یوں تھی ...
ومعنى (يُدْنِينَ عَلَيْهِنَّ مِنْ جَلَابِيبِهِنَّ )يرخينها عليهنّ، ويغطين بها وجوههنّ وأعطافهنّ. يقال: إذا زل الثوب عن وجه المرأة: أدنى ثوبك على وجهك .........فإن قلت: ما معنى مِنْ في مِنْ جَلَابِيبِهِنَّ؟ قلت: هو للتبعيض، إلا أن معنى التبعيض محتمل وجهين، أحدهما: أن يتجلببن ببعض مالهنّ من الجلابيب، والمراد أن لا تكون الحرة متبذلة في درع وخمار، كالأمة والماهنة ولها جلبابان فصاعدا في بيتها. والثاني: أن ترخى المرأة بعض جلبابها وفضله على وجهها تتقنع حتى تتميز من الأمة.( دیکھئے کشاف : امام زمخشری)
ترجمہ: "اور (یدنین علیھن من جلابیبھن) کا معنی یہ ہے کہ وہ ان جلابیب کو اپنے اوپر لٹکا لیں اور ان کے ذریعے اپنے چہروں اور پہلوؤں کوڈھانپ لیں ' کیوں کہ جب عورت کے چہرے سے کپڑا ہٹ جائے تو کہا جاتا ہے اپنے کپڑے کو قریب کر....... پس اگر تو یہ سوال کرے کہ "من جلابیبھن" میں " من " کا کیا مطلب ہے تو میں یہ کہتا ہوں کہ " من " یہاں تبعیض کے لئے ہے اور یہ ذہن میں رہے کہ یہاں تبعیض میں دو احتمالات ہیں ایک تو یہ کہ عورت کے پاس جو بہت سارے جلابیب ہیں ان میں سے ایک جلباب اوڑھ لے یعنی مراد یہ ہے کہ آزاد عورت لونڈی اور پیشہ ورخادمہ کی طرح ( چہرہ کھلا رکھتے ہوئے صرف) ایک لمبی قمیص اور اوڑھنی میں باہر نہ نکلے جبکہ اس کے پاس گھر میں دو یا اس سے زائد جلباب موجود ہوں.اور دوسرا احتمال یہ ہے کہ عورت اپنے ایک ہی جلباب کا بعض حصہ اپنے اوپر لٹکا لے یعنی گھونگھٹ نکال لے تا کہ اس میں اور لونڈی میں فرق ہو سکے "
یہ بات ہے جو امام زمخشری نے بیان کی ہے . مگر غامدی صاحب نے اس میں سے ایک احتمال کو لیا اور اسے امام زمخشری کے حوالے سے اپنے موقف کی تائید کے لئے بیان کردیا. حالاں کہ بحث پڑھ کر یہ دیکھا جا سکتا ہے کہ زمخشری نے آیت میں( یدنین علیھن من جلابیبھن ) کو گھونگٹ ( ارخا) کے معنی میں لیا ہے اور یہی زمخشری کا موقف ہے ... بعد میں امام نے محض ( تبعیض) کے دو احتمالات کو بیان کیا ہے . حالاں کہ انہوں اپنا موقف پہلے ہی بیان کر دیا ہے ( دیکھئے عبارت : یرخینھا علیھن) . غامدی صاحب سے گزارش ہے کہ کم ازکم غلط نتیجہ تو نہ نکالے اور پوری عبارت لوگوں کو سامنے رکھیں نہ کہ اپنے مطلب کے چند پہلے!

It is argued that even if these instructions were sent for special circumstances and addressed only the wives of the Prophet (pbuh), since they are the role models for Muslim women, therefore these instructions must be followed by ordinary Muslim women too. لَّا جُنَاحَ عَلَيۡهِنَّ فِىۡۤ اٰبَآٮِٕهِنَّ وَلَاۤ اَبۡنَآٮِٕهِنَّ وَلَاۤ اِخۡوَانِهِنَّ وَلَاۤ اَبۡنَآءِ اِخۡوَانِهِنَّ وَلَاۤ اَبۡنَآءِ اَخَوٰتِهِنَّ وَلَا نِسَآٮِٕهِنَّ وَلَا مَا مَلَـكَتۡ اَيۡمَانُهُنَّۚ وَاتَّقِيۡنَ اللّٰهَؕ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ كَانَ عَلٰى كُلِّ شَىۡءٍ شَهِيۡدًا
"It is no sin for them (thy wives) to converse freely) with their fathers, or their sons, or their brothers, or their brothers' sons, or the sons of their sisters or of their own women, or their slaves. O women! Keep your duty to Allah. Lo! Allah is ever Witness over all things".

Or agr kiye gye to unko bad k liye q chora gya or usy any wali ummat k liye q jaari kiya gya, yani mansookh q nahi hua kuch ayaat ki tara, agr unko bd mey b jaarri e rakha gya or Quran e paak ka hissa bna rehny dia to kya ye sabit nae hta k uska itlaaq ab bhi hoga chadar orhny ka.
