  • Hi Friends!
My total inspiration for today was a piece I saw Katie Gordon make. She is an amazing artist and you should definitely watch her tutorials because they are very good. In the video I am using my flower cane which I made in the video below as well as some scrap clay. I can't wait to see what you will come up with! Enjoy the video!

Thank you, Cynthia, so much! I really try not to take myself too seriously and just have fun with clay and all of my other crafts as well . I don't cut things out of my video unless it's the top of my head that I decide to stick in front of the camera. Ha ha! BUT then those head shots are great too because they let me know when its time to do my roots! Have a wonderful weekend, my friend!

Saw your post on IG and had to rush over and watch the tutorial. I just love playing with scraps and leftovers. Then sometimes I will start throwing other scrap clay with the leftovers and come up with a whole different look. It is never-ending what a person can do and I think that is one aspect I love. Always something new. I love Katie Gordon's videos. She has not made a video in a while.. I miss her making videos. You would think you could not mess up a twist but I can..LOL Not good at the twist at all. 😬But always come out with an interesting design. I think that would look great wire-wrapped.

I miss Katie as well. I hope she is ok because I would always so look forward to her videos. I love playing with scraps as well, as you can see and then I can never duplicate the results! This technique is really awesome for using up what you don't need any longer. Have a great weekend, my friend!

Great video and tutorial. :) A good tip is to make sure all your tools and work surfaces are really clean otherwise you will get things in your clay that you don't want.

The reason it made an oval is because you did not have the block completely parallel to the table. And the dark center may just be concentrated color from the cane. Love the final product.

You are so awesome, Janna! You are probably right about the color and I will roll the clay some more when I get home! Thank you so much for the tips! Have a wonderful weekend!
