- Only the people working at airports know how things really go down there, and they have many secrets they don’t want you to know. Did you know, for example, that most airports have specific experts called profilers? Their job is to notice the non-verbal signs of anxiety, such as people licking their lips, itching, or looking around a lot.
Also, in a lot of big airports, there are special cameras that can detect a certain level of aggression. These cameras transmit the information to a computer and, in cases of dangerous levels of aggression, the suspect will be stopped by airport security for a detailed inspection. Interested? Then check out these surprising truthful facts from the airport world every traveler will like to know.

SUMMARY:
- Profilers work in both the main halls and in passport control. The typical question they ask is, “What's the purpose of your visit?” They then check the person's reaction to this enquiry. No matter how reserved a passenger is, if they have something to hide, TSA officers will find out thanks to the tiniest cues in people's behavior.
- Experts can detect an individual’s specific reactions by checking their heart rate, respiration, and body temperature. Perhaps one day we’ll all go through security checks without even realizing it!
- Airport staff don’t know once it leaves their territory, and they probably don’t really care, sorry. Baggage is sorted automatically: scanners scan the barcode and sort the baggage according to its destination. So if your luggage doesn't move fast enough, it can be late for your connecting flight. Or, the exact opposite, your bag gets to your destination before you do because you’re stuck at passport control.
- Before your luggage even gets on the plane, it goes through five security levels, and one of them (besides scanning the contents) includes being checked by a special dog that can sniff out dangerous chemicals.
- Unlike police dogs, the ones working at airports aren't trained to frighten or intimidate people. The most popular sniffer breeds are Golden Retrievers, Labs, and German Shorthaired Pointers.
- Most airports are equipped with giant kitchens where the food for passengers is prepared. These kitchens usually cook food for different airlines at once. And since that oh-so delightful airplane food must be cooked about 6-10 hours in advance, these kitchens have to work 24/7!
- Dispatchers not only control the planes in the sky (like you usually see in movies), they also control their movement on the ground as well as the lighting on the runways. That's why there are 3 types of air traffic controllers: en-route, terminal, and tower.
- If the airport staff finds out that your visa has expired or you just don’t have one when you enter their country, you’ll be deported by the same airline that brought you there. Not to mention, they have to foot the bill for the ticket as well, which means you can return home for free!
- Airport staff sometimes ask passengers to rub their hands on a piece of cloth before putting it into a special machine. It might seem kind of scary, but it’s actually harmless. You’re simply being checked by a machine called an atomizer.

I don’t have any bad intentions when I travel but I always get anxiety 🤦🏼♀️💀
TRAVEL IN A CAR, I HAVE ONLY BEEN ON A PLANE ONCE DESPITE MY STEP DAD BEING A FLIGHT PILOT I HAD ANXITY AT ONE POINT IN MY LIFE FACE WAS PALE
Alex H from the US to Europe?
Yeah I'm the same. I always feel anxious in airports which makes me look dodgy in the eyes of airport staff. Hey ho
yes same.. i lick my lips..play with my hair..itching.. and even breath fast... just because im afraid to fly😭😭😭
Or do u?
Some ppl with bad intentions have the calmest moods
And we chicken out when someone asks what the time is.
Jenifer you are smart
Sugar Crush thank you
Jenifer Johnson ture
Because they know the game better than you. Time to take some acting classes folks
You should’ve definitely shown how the bags are thrown and tossed all the time by the baggage handlers and loaders 😂
Airlines are aware of the baggage handling fiasco.
Ah, the infamous Baggage Handler. They're like the yeti; nobody's ever seen one, but we know they exist because we find their footprints on our luggage.
I work for a major east coast international airport.....I can tell you; from personal experience; the handlers have competitions on how rough they can be with bags. It happens in the bag basements as they load them on the bag belts.
@@anonymouspost8407 I bet who cares setting every bag down nice and soft is not quick at all and will take to long for real ppl don't understand that at all put your fragile stuff in your carry on. Cuse throwing the bags well tossing is normal faster and efficient they would complain of Evey baggage handler was slow and took hours to load plane unload plane so they can leave the aurport
i’m one of those “infamous baggage handlers” just fyi we don’t have time to treat your baggage like it’s “precious” we run on a schedule and we are here to get you out safetly and on time, our job is not easy be aware of that.
Basically body language can be manipulated, and people can learn how to manipulate it.
No need, just watch from the window at the gate.
PERIOD 📢....... especially when the bad guy is a professional profiler too and he wrote a book you read during your training..check mate
“Their job is to look for signs of anxiety” lol my anxiety is about to get me accused of terrorism
What if you have just downed a bunch of tranqualisers,& feel a bit weird when you get to customs?
I’m always anxious when I reach the airport and then check in and then go through TSA checkpoint. After that I finally relax , until boarding time. 😄😄😄
“Bad” people know more tricks than most people know
Being aloof and really nice tends to work all the time 😉🌈
Yes if the person has no conscience then they could very well not have odd or odd behavior or non verbal cues as well.
Sociopaths or psychopaths?
Bed people always go trough with a help of bed TSA, Catering, Police people...random check gives no better result then seized bottles of water, cosmetics, nail clippers and such “ extremely dangerous “ stuff “ ! All the TSA does, is to keep tension high and scare ordinary people for a bigger picture...Why TSA never show us results of their meticulous work? Let me tell you, it would be nothing but bottles of water, cosmetics, nail clippers...
You're absolutely wrong... Trust me being aloof and too nice rings bells immediately in behaviour analysts...
@@nunosampaionunes2334 yeah for sure, TSA people are trained psychologist 😂 Most of them are rude, low educated showing nothing but the exercising power for nothing
when one is travelling its natural to be anxious especially when you hear items being stolen from your luggage by handlers
Bright Side: 8 secrets airport staff dont want you to know
me: i want to know
did not help 😢😢😢
Insane Old Goat- PG3D yup that’s the point
Yeah I know right 😂
Well you knew now
Thank you bro thanks to you I got to be the 300th like
As a former airport security officer , I'm laughing at how naive the bright side is.
So is this true or not?
I was Airport ground staff and I tought the same watching number 8. and 7., but the rest is on point.
@@veronikavelikova1919 why😳
Glad I don’t fly any more!
They're not naive. They are earning exactly the amount of viewers and comments they're seeking with the type of information they deliver.
So that’s why they keep doing “random searches” on me at the airport.
TeamLaTeNight™ lol
TeamLaTeNight™ I get that a lot too. So this that is the reason 🙄🙄
My sister got a "random search" twice
Daniel Asenso-gyambibi I was taken to a private room twice 😂😂😂 for questioning.
First time I was mad . Second time I just relaxed , took my book and started reading.
@@pennyhango3186 yeah it happened sometimes 😂😂🤣🤣🤣
“Itching licking lips and looking around” I’m sorry that my lips are dry and cracking and I have 45 bites and that I don’t know where I am?
😆👍🏼
Right? I have anxiety. So I just look suspicious I guess
@@juliedorman1858 me too! I guess il be suspicious then ... lol
@Firstname Lastname I HAD anxisty and moved around my body parts and my face turned pale at times
How do I even get likes?
I was impressed thet removing one olive could save so much money.
Talk about small changes thet change the world...
They can keep all those disgusting olives to themselves
@@shadowdio9512 Yeah, no kidding. They can toss them off the plane.
livewireOr lol 😂
Imagine how much more they could save by removing the entire salad, or drinks or...... You can always save money by being scungy. But if the passengers wake up to it then you lose your reputation as an airline. Risky.
Cuz u don't think. If one olive i 3 cents, each year they serve around 30 millions meals so 3 cents x 30million its not that hard
1:03 I’m super awkward and have lots of anxiety doesn’t mean I’m a suspicious person 🙄
If you dont believe the lie nobody will
Yeah. Assume the position.
i had a woman in the netherlands when i was going to the us and she questioned me cause i was anxious. i just have really bad anxiety.
You can be suspicious and not be doing anything wrong. Suspicious isn't illegal.
I was sitting in an airport being suspicious of a guy and because I was watching him they called me up and rechecked my carryon. He was a Marshall and I knew it!
Profilers are true. I had security pull me aside once and say it was noticed I was looking around, watching some, etc etc... I told them I didn’t mean harm, I’m a retired police officer (showed ID) and continued on, that I guess after 31 years of police work, I notice things others don’t. I see things now and then and say something to my wife, and she asked how I noticed that... I guess old habits die hard.
Small tip: Always pay attention to what's being said on the airport intercom. Not only do they provide health or safety warnings if needed, but they also may announce gate changes and flight delays. Also, one time I had left some things behind at security unwittingly. I went to have lunch and was totally disregarding the announcements. After a few minutes I realized they were repeating something over and over, that's when I decided to listen. Come to find out, they were saying, "A sweatshirt and hat have been left behind at security. If they are yours please come claim them." I looked down at my luggage to realize my sweatshirt and hat were missing. Oops!
Wow, Lucky that you found your stuff, more that 25 million stuff are lost in airports every year!
Yea
You guys have been watching too much tv. If only our airport system was as secure as you make it out to be.
Here in Israel our airports are very safe and secure . I am from the USA and I wish our airports there were as safe .
You can't stop every criminal no matter where you are in the world. I saw a TSA agent say that. it's true, no airport is 100%... Not even in Israel.......
True
Security is layered I'd imagine there's a tier of security you aren't even aware of that monitor those airports every day
The thumbnail for this video, made me think that the airport employees know who farted.
Mesh Frequency ...😂😂😂😂😂
Or - updated - who has a communicable disease.
Same here bro 😂😂
Lol, they just might know you farted with that atomizer machine; the poor sniffer dogs definitely would!
On the less funny side is the experience of being on a plane with a person in the seat next to you having gastrointestinal issues due to nerves/anxiety...
😂😂😂
I'm such a nervous traveller im always randomly selected from queues. The American authorities are the most unfriendly. They are scary
I'm sorry you have these issues. I can tell from your smile and face that you're very kind.
Must have never been to France...
They were all bullies as children and they never grew up.
It seems you have never been to Paris or Frankfurt
@@ikabain2865 I have and no better there either.
For screening, it's really hard for someone who actually suffers from anxiety. The "screener" might think you're up to no good when it's actually a disorder.
I don’t have anxiety, but I do have an orthopedic disability where I sometimes exhibit things that look like I could be a troublemaker and yes I am stopped quite a bit. I am gets used to it, but frankly I get tired of it. Give me, this is why when they talk about profiling and things like that caught the profilers “can’t most things right.“ Ancestors on the board most, because in situations of anxiety or other disabilities, They sure don’t. Good video though.

YES PLs bright side LISTEN
the best baggage handlers are those from Japanese airports...they dont throw ur luggages around, unlike many other airports around the world...i’ve seen it with my own eyes.....the Japanese will pick/put down bags in proper manner, as if every bags are fragile.....
that’s literally amazing im jealous because when me and my parents were coming back from new orelans last year and we got our luggage we noticed my mom’s suitcase handle was not coming up all the way. it wasn’t like that before and it’s been broken ever since
the bags themselfs are nott frafile the contents are.
Great, I am always anxious when traveling, and now I have to worry that my menopausal hot flashes will somehow trigger TSA to detain me!!!!!!!!! UGH!!! They will look at me on their screen and say "grab her! She is registering extreme temp!"
My anxiety would get me suspected🤧
Sir, may I reach into my bag and show you my anti anxiety meds?
I just do one simple thing: Look annoyed going through the security checks, and the security guards will ignore you in a heartbeat.
With my medical issues i must drive them crazy.
There was a store in my hometown that sold a unique chocolate/peanut butter spread. While visiting I bought 12 jars to last me a couple years. The jars were all in one suitcase. We arrived home to find a note that said "your luggage was searched" and only 11 jars. LOL
After they tried the unique chocolate/peanut butter spread, they probably thought, “Why didn’t we take 5 ?” Lol! 🤣
Iam a frequent traveler and I can tell you going through Frankfurt, Germany can be a nightmare especially if you are black. Never ever going that route again 🙌🏿
I really had to use the washroom
My facial expression threw them way off
Interesting information but the background "music" is irritating and distracting
My dad was an air traffic controller. And it was indeed stressful for him.
When you finally get to the plane remember…. flight attendants constantly lie to you and passengers think they know everything except on how to open the lavatory door.
I love everything that you are doing keep advancing more and more thank you.!!!
If they spot non-verbal signs of anxiety they are 100% right. I have anxiety. It's a mental illness, and I would get a panic attac if they took me to a room like described.
BUT I am not a criminal. I am someone with a health problem, that would get worse because of their behaviour.
Thats something a criminal would say.
they know the difference
I had a Profiler stop me last time I was travelling to US. She asked me silly questions out of the blue like, where did I get my earings from, and the shoes I was wearing etc. I wanted to start laughing at such random questions. I knew what she was so of course I answered her, trying hard to keep a straight face at same time thinking what was I just doing that she felt the need to profile me. 💁🏻♀️
Some people have a legitimate fear of heights and of flying.
So anxiety can be legit.
I didn't know any. Thanks for the video. I really learn a lot from this channel
It’s the savings on olives that surprised me .
Next time I travel, I will put a puppy sticker on my bag that says "Doggy smell here".
same!
Wow Ur First
I was thinking of a dog biscuit but I know TSA agents have no sense of humor and they'd put me through the wringer for it.
You stick a dog treat to your suitcase so the dog goes crazy
Lol 😁😁
Wow. Nice to know that. I always have good experience at the airport n with the staff. Nothing to hide. Happy 2020 to all.
Love your videos
Fun fact: my husband used linseed oil to finish a woodworking project, then packed for his trip the next morning.
He was held up by TSA and missed his flight because their equipment kept picking up the chemical traces. It took them a long time to figure out what the problem was.
For goodness sake, don’t let him use poppyseed oil! 😂😂😂😂
I have a elevated level of anxiety in airports now. It stems from being viewed as a potential threat in my own country. I’m glad that we have added security nowadays. We need that. I’m glad that I don’t have to travel often anymore.
Love it.great video.keep it up.stay safe.
Logo: Na yellow is boring want red

Absolutely fascinating. I love it.
"Weird behaviors like looking around a lot."

Wow this made all my flying experiences make a whole lot more sense now with how they specifically pulled me out randomly to do a special test or something its crazy now that i look back
You were a SELECTEE by the TSA.
If you have something that you really want in your life, spend lots of time thinking about it. The more you think the more ideas will pop up the more creative your gonna start to get. Your subconscious mind doesn't care if your vision is crazy. It doesnt care if you dont know how to do it.
When you see a thing clearly in your mind, your creative "success mechanism" within you takes over and does the job much better than you could do it by conscious effort or willpower.
A different psychedelic from a different planet every nanosecond.
All sorts of dreams are possible.
The human nervous system cannot tell the difference between an "actual" experience and an experience imagined vividly and in detail.
Synthesize "experience," to literally create experience, and control it, in the laboratory of our minds.
A vision is a very emotional image, the most powerful image that you can come up with for yourself at this time. This vision will become like a hallucination in other peoples mind and this could be the cause of them creating extraordinary things.
POV: You got this reacommended after 1 year
*I'm flying Emirates soon! (Excited)*
Cool!

I went to Emirates already and it was AWESOME
You still flying now?
In other words if you are aware of the situations of your area; they think you have something to worry about besides the harassment of employees and guards that do not seem worried enough about your safety and well being, putting yourself in others control with no expectation of your safety or comfort or privacy from getting into your business...
My husband is ALWAYS randomly selected to get the full screening. No matter where we go, he gets more than just the passing thru the scanner. He looks like a young Steven Spielberg with the beard and glasses. And tons of questions I don't get. You need to know him well to know if he's happy, sad or angry; he's like a flat line. I'm up and down. So we're always wondering why him. He's in emergency preparedness and corporate security.
I'm always people watching but I guess it's the way I do it that counts or doesn't count.
Never got the towel one but I hope it's clean; I don't like germs. At the airport near us, the food gets prepared close to the airport but not at the airport.
Thnx.....it was really helpful....😮😮😮😮
Having worked at airports, ALL staff are looking out for unusual behaviours, from the moment you enter the terminal building. Anything unusual is flagged with security.
We have no idea what they do to us anymore 😔
Technology is out of this world.
Your presentation is highly interesting to watch. Thank you very much and take care. 👍
Good! It's reassuring to know that they're on the ball.
Lol spotters dont even have a clue how to read you right when you are trained to resist.

You are awesome watching your videos for a long time since you are awesome awesome and you make good videos by the way do you have a nice voice and I love your channel❤️
Im really impress to all the bright side people , they are very bright and imformative...
A lot of times delays are the fault of the airport, not the airlines. So take it easy on the airline staff. Thank you.
And maybe not even the airport. Weather is a common issue.
Regardless of what it is, it's not the desk agent's fault so of course, be polite.

The fact that surprised me the most was that I had no idea the kitchen facilities for airlines were so small with so few staff members as shown in this video.
All of them,thank you.
They actually ask you randomly. I've been asked what's my purpose here multiple times already.
Radomly ? Sure everytime i fly with my semi-usuall travel companion about 8 out of 10 times she gets "randomly" selected. So far on the pther hand i have never yet been "randomly" selected....
I got questioned by one of these profilers in the airport when I was having an auto immune response that caused my hands and feet to be numb. I couldn't get comfortable in my chair or walk normally. When I got back home I went to the ER and found out I had Gillian Barre syndrome.
That would be not fun!

Once I missed my flight and since then I get nervous when I'm at the airport! So I go 3 hours ahead and get all my food and drinks really early and wait at my Gate close to a tv screen showing my Gate time and destination.
So am I much better early than rushing hours makes life easy and relaxing for long flight ✈️
Being there for some time actually calms the nerves...
