    Before learning about different measures of center (such as mean, median,..) as well as measures of spread/variability (such as standard deviation, IQR,...) we want to learn about describing the shape, as well as the center/spread of a distribution using descriptive words.
    Describing a distribution using numbers is good in that it is an objective measure, but these can also miss important features. Describing a distribution using qualitative words is good in that it can capture nuances, although it is not objecting. Using the two together can help us capture the best of both worlds. This introductory statistics video introduces terminology and descriptive words for describing the shape of a distribution.

    Keep making videos on statistics.. dedicate this channel to statistics.. we are loving it.. and please make a play list topic wise so we can start from basic and go to advance. it is very difficult to randomly watch videos it gives no information only confuse us and we stop watching more videos.

    Quick question professor...when you meant class grades are neagtively skewed,you meant it in the grade school or is generalized across all the classes irrespective of the course and also is difficulty of the course factored in?
