I got my best bang for theh buck with dewalt power and (some hand tool and accessories) tools. The downside is that that I did have a bad experience factory warranty service but I ended getting a NEW replacement tool. Over the last few of Black Friday sales, there were extreme bargains on Amazon and Lowes on getting a tool (and some were XR variety) free with the purchase of a starter kit for $200, rounded up) which included two XR 20V, 20AMP, batteries, a 115 charger and medium size bag. I replace broken and inferior tools. I also bought the starter kit on Amazon for as little as $135 and got bare WR speciality power tools when found on sale usually found on Amazon.
I did have a to send a battery for Milwaukee drill to a service center which was a big pain. The reason is Milwaukee uses FEDEX to transport tools to its service centers and there are strict rules on transporting Lithium Ion batteries because that company is primarily a air carrier as UPS will only transport Lithium ion batteries on the ground. All Lithium Ion batterie must be dropped off at the transport center in a major city miles away.
Although cases provide protection and organization, I prefer a bag because it allows me to carry accessories such as drill bits for drills.

I do hvac in oklahoma, an often see milwaukee power tools on other technician loadouts . As I typed this, I just approached the part where you suggest the m12😂

Love the content, I do HVAC and run m12 as well as Dewalt 20v since I had that previously. Don’t really think brand matters just stick with one kind of battery when you’re starting out because that’s the expensive part lol
