Thanks for sharing this videos..that makes my memories back..lot of things has changed ..I was there way back 1983 to 1985
I saw this guy. It was so fun. I was there. I remember being part of this show and it was such a fun time
I spent 2 years on Diego Garcia back in the 80's. loved it so much, I extended for a 2nd tour. Paradise/Fantasy island. I would give just about anything to be able to go back. Time to look into a contractors job or join the Merchant Marine.
That's where flight mh370 was flown. I'm so glad you're so happy to be there. Just know there or others there being held against their will
back in '75(navy) there weren't any paved roads
Do you know the history of the island? How many hearts were broken??
Dropped the native people off at neighbouring islands and killed there dogs and cats. Shame on them.
@@Eddiedoherty22 Do some research. It was an uninhabited island.. They weren't natives. If I ship a bunch of Peruvians to a previously uninhabited island that I discovered to work my plantation and they make some babies, they aren't suddenly natives and the Peruvian government can't suddenly lay claim to the island I discovered. Are you saying they are natives because they were brown people on an island? That's pretty racist. That's basically what happened except they were mostly African or Indians who weren't even remotely geographically close to that island who were shipped their to do work. Do people even know where Diego Garcia is relative to Mauritius? The only reason Mauritius lays claim to Diego Garcia is because Mauritius was a British colony. If anything, the Maldives would lay claim to the island as they are about 50x closer to Diego Garcia than Mauritius. People are so quick to cry about natives they create an entire narrative so they can chastise the big white devil. It's so transparent.
I have been there in Diego Garcia.for 5 years .working in the vessel for assist american ship..war ship..submarine..ro ro ..and so on..very nice place..marine beach ..gyms sport centre..in down town...
Rgds capt.febrial
I swam there...exactly thete. 200 yrds out at least. Did it every weekend for a year. How else are you gonna get to the sunken ship??
Have visited dozen of lagoons in nearby lakshadweep islands never saw any shark there
Can sailors text or call the states from the island?
Yes. There are plans to be able to call. Not sure about texting. There's limited wifi.
Why don’t they put netting over the opening to the cove so that the residence of this island can freely swim without the threat of a shark attack or a barracuda attack
My son was there a year. He hated it.
Terri M I’m guessing you couldn’t speak on the flight there back in 2014 could you?
Good, the population from this island was taken away illegally, by the UK and US government

mh370 ! #seekingthetruth
Why not do concert fundraiser so the natives came move back to Deigo Garcia
There were never natives there. There were contract workers brought there by Europeans. They never would have been on that island if it weren't for the Eurpoean settlers.. calling them natives is idiotic. Mauritius isn't even close to Diego Garcia.
War war war
Boy, your acting like it's Aint half hot mum like on the series from years ago. Showing nothing of whats going on there but the only difference is your trying to show its a beutiful tropical island and your there to do a stage show for the perpertrators of MH370 through some Bull shit like Whispering Grass. Grass Whispers and the Breeze will follow and the truth will follow. Best you can do is come up with a straight up insight of Diago Garcia, the stolen Islands, and the reason it was the most important base during the Vietnam war and the Iraqi war and was some how handed over to you yanks by the English... Please explain also the under water buildings, the Bombers on and ready on the strip and the Submarine pens.
MH370 Malaysia
I was stationed there a few years ago and absolutely loved it! It is truly a special place and I miss it every day.
Airianna Skyye What about the natives that live their what happened to them

Man......The man driving the van looks like the Malaysian MH370 pilot ... don't he ???? take off your sun glasses....LoL
What an amazing exerience! Thanks for sharing this part of your journey. Really cool to watch.
I've been there in 2002. The brit club was great so was the yacht club. The Royal Marines were a great bunch
The sailors there must love receiving people to entertain them regularly and I don't envy them though after hearing the horror stories from those who was stationed there.
Did you go fishin??? Has to be beyond words...
I think I jus saw 'mo Tonton so bourik' there!!
Been there 87-91 aimd
Michael, I visited Diego Garcia in 1975. It's beautiful. Check out my book about how I got there. "Good Morning Diego Garcia" by Susan Joyce. Even met some of the natives when I visited the Seychelles.
is this island can be visited ?
that is sad and despite this the island can be a tourist destination if open to public or just for organised visits

Educate yourself.
ya all criticise moving 1000 of simple people from unsustainable island yet you run to us or uk for money, for higher education and for protection...it is UK who allowed US built military base there...and thank God they did. Now the global forces are using simple people again to regain the island... and it was under Mauritius only because British owned Mauritius and managed Chagos Island from there, if anything Chagos are still British property
hI MiCheaL ;,
passenger of Malaysia flight MH370 his coordinates from I phone he used on the island is 72 25,59 26 5E , 7 18, 97 13S This is where Phillip woods is located. don't know if it's just him or more passengers...... it's all on you tube.....
We stopped there back in the mid 80's. It's sand...and a beach...and some water...big ado about nothing really....more action in a Walmart shopping center....
There will not be A HELL HOT ENOUGH FOR THE PEOPLE THAT DID THIS TO THE NATIVE ISLANDERS. GOD WILL HAVE HIS REVENGE. MAKE NO MISTAKE ABOUT IT. THE CONSEQUENCES OF AMERICA'S ACTIONS WILL BE DEALT WITH FROM AN ANGRY GOD. I 🙏🏻
you do realize that it was the British that removed the indigenous people, right? long before the US came into the picture. Thats why its called the BIOT, "BRITISH Indian Ocean Territory" not "Americas Indian Ocean Territory". Thanks for playing, Betty.
